The wording is fine. There are only 2 possible subjects for the word 'it': your hero and the minion that was killed. Since the minion that was killed neither just attacked nor is on the board to attack, 'it' unambiguously refers to your hero.
Unless you want Team 5 to start being over cautious about not confusing the player base again...
Edit: looking at other comments which seem to openly believe 'it' refers to Gonk, despite not being referred to in the card text once, perhaps 18 deck slots was too many :P
The correct word is "they", the hero is a person not a thing. It's understandable many would be confused especially players with English as a second language.
Example: You're having friends over. You tell the people already at your house you'll start the board game as soon as they (your remaining friend) gets there. You wouldn't say as soon as IT gets here. Ever. Unless of course you're Gollum.
Gollum reporting in!
The use of "they" instead of "it" is only really a matter of politeness, as evidenced by it being a perfectly correct insult to say "as soon as IT gets here". It might seem facetious but I am much more an animal lover than a 'people person' and am less than supportive of the double standard that a human cannot be an "it" while a dog can, despite both being animals.
In this case I am also not sure the hero does count as a person. We would be OK calling a minion "it" even though it might be just as humanoid (and more so in some cases) than your hero.
Anyway, I acknowledge my tone earlier was unfair on those who struggled because English is not their first language, and that much I do take back.
Just a Stormwatcher for druid.
Reread the card. It says "it" which refers to the subject being the hero, not this dude.
Makes me sad that everybody is laughing at druid for not getting good cards, druid isnt even that good imo, the decks are not top tier and really luck based...
If druid got some good cards for hero powers or other archetypes we would see more other druid decks than mill and malygos, so instead of laughing at it you should cry at it because there will be no new decks so you will still only play against the decks you hate
meh. I prefer Savagery.
..Bleh. Only person that would be excited for this card is Kibler.
You say that like it's a bad thing. Not everyone is in this for supercompetetive reasons.
Not everyone is Spike. Some of us are Johnny or Timmy.
If that means nothing to you, read this: https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/making-magic/timmy-johnny-and-spike-2013-12-03
Article is about magic, but applies to nearly all games. Search for "Who's the beatdown?" Too because once you decipher the ancient MtG jargon its a seminal piece.
Kibler doesn't even play druid that often. He likes mage + priest mostly. (And Tesspionage and Galvadon)
I would like to point out that druid didn't get great legendary this year except floop and he was still tier 1
had some twig synergy
Most likely scenario; you have Twig of the World Tree equipped, you throw down Gonk and use your hero power (after having played Malfurion the Pestilent) and use Claw to have 6 attack. You can now clear your opponent's board of Spreading Plague scarabs and do 6 damage to face. Gonk dies next turn to Naturalize.
I've almost predicted this card on Reddit two days ago:

A bad druid card PogChamp
Yes, this card is not great by any means, but keep in mind that the hero attack-boosting cards give your hero an attack buff for the entire turn, even after you attack.
the hero attacks again tho
So much potential wasted ... but it’s Druid so we ain’t gonna cry bois
To clarify to everyone, it should say your hero may attack again
Your hero gets to attack again, not this minion.
