Odd Beast Druid maybe?
I would built an Odd Druid deck and add Wild Growth,Spreading Plague and Ultimate Infestation so it wins more.
I would have loved a different path for druid, pushing for a midrangy and less frustrating gameplan (Tog/Maly/C’Thun sickened me).
This card seems really bad atm and I feel they lost an opportunity.
Well, the good news is, Druid didn't get anything good this expansion.
The bad news is, there isn't anything I've seen that can really force them to use the new cards or change decklists at all to keep their 4 archetypes as high as they are now while other classes scramble to find a counter.
So basically, your hero becomes Giant Sand Worm? I see nothing wrong with the wording here.
Thank goodness this card doesn't support existing Druid decks. This card and archetype might not be competitive, but I'm still excited to try it out.
Unless there's a good card that gives your Hero attack, this is probably pretty bad, even in an Odd deck. Should've been a 5 mana card with the stats ajusted accordingly (4/6 or 4/5, I guess).
And no, Druid shouldn't get bad cards, they should get good cards that aren't broken AND push archetypes different than ramp.
Why are people saying this is bad lmao. At 9 mana with Malfurion the Pestilent you can clear boards pretty easy. And druids have the armor and ramp for it to not be a problem oh and twig. Then it snowballs from there...
Edit: if "it" meant the minion, then HS really needs to work on their grammar. Actually either way they should fix the wording.
This is what happens when your class outperforms many of the other classes for too long.
You get garbage.
It looks boring but attacking twice with 2 or 3 damage from upgraded hero power or DK Malfurion is good and Druids are in no short of armor.
Who am I kidding it is boring... it may turn out to be good but it is boring.
I feel like this card's problem is that there's too many matchups where the effect is just bad. If you somehow land it against an odd paladin you could just clear the board with the hero power, which is great, but then you're paying 9-mana against an aggressive deck, so you probably don't really need it that badly. On the other hand, against decks like even warlock with a board of 8-8s and 4-9s, this feels underwhelming.
Might work with druid weapon but too situational
How is it that so many people here can't read this card. The hero attacks again. I'm confused how this confuses people.
"It" is a referential pronoun in this case. It refers to the last noun in the previous sentence which is "minion", so yes, the wording is off from the linguistic perspective. Obviously you can't attack 2nd time with a minion you do not own and also just killed. It would have been better to have it read "...your hero may attack again".
Interesting. Potentially good. Probably just mediocre. Will occasionally straight win a game.
Like nearly all Druid legendaries.
Bullhsit, situational Stormwatcher for druid, I don't think tribe (so buffs) can help it. Some classes can buff stormwatcher too :P
The druid can attack again, not the minion. So this is nothing like Stormwatcher
If so, sorry. I'm not sure is it my fault, or blizzard's poor wording :P
"As long as you’re willing to take the hit, Gonk means that you can continue to use your hero to clear up the board (just don’t cripple yourself in your attempt to clear out enemy minions). As long as your raptor friend sticks around, you can continue to attack at will, which makes his decent HP a nice selling point. Buff that health pool, and you’ll be able to keep Gonk around even longer."
You're right, thank you. Especially as DK, it could have potential. Claw seems nice here too.
Oh dear the wording hurts my brain. Apparently the devs at T5 have never taken an english class in their lives.
Now the card, if druid gets enough hero support in the form of cheap attack buffs, this card has the potential to be bonkers.
Seriously, the way this thing is worded you'd think the minion that got killed gets to attack again.
