Nightmare Amalgam is a pirate, tbh i like that card a lot more by the minute, it allows really cool interactions
They need to introduce bigger pirates because if pirates are google, it's always aggro
Remember when rush was good? Yeah,no..Me neither! LOL
cavenrs below/vicious scalehide , Zilliax, any mech from dr boom mad genious
Even though this expansion is all about trolls...you still shouldn't feed them.
Remmber when they added Recruit as a new keyword? I wish they print more cards that used that keyword but instead they print this “summon from your deck” crap which is less powerfull.
Anyways this brings back some not so good memories of Anyfin Can Happen Paladin. It is a good card and can be used to deal burst damage to face using Southsea Deckhand with a weapon for charge granted the setup needs more work to put southseas back into your deck so you may not build it for a burst damage combo afterall.
Summon from your deck IS Recruit... As I did for someone else, let me introduce you to Patches the Pirate. Not a copy. Pulls it from your deck. Exact same wording.
I believe what he meant was instead of using "summon from your deck", they should use "recruit". Since both does the same thing and they introduced this new keyword but was under utilized.
For example it could be "recruit 3 pirates from your deck and give them rush". Same meaning but with the keyword "recruit".
"Summon from" should be used for "summon a minion from your hand" or "after you cast a spell summon a random minion of the same cost".
If keywords are introduced, but not utilized, what is the point?
Imagine in the next expansion.. Overkill is just "if this card killed a minion, summon a 5/5".. which it could be just Overkill: summon a 5/5..
I think they just don't want to have 1 recruit minion in standard when Kobolds rotates out. Also the use of the word "powerful" is unclear in the original post. Linguistically powerful or mechanically powerful? I read it as mechanically powerful, which would be incorrect
Actually, there is a slight difference between summoning from your deck and recruit.
Summoning from your deck summons the minion at the right-most position on the board, while recruit summons the minion adjacently to the right of the recruiting minion.
I know this difference is small but I thought it was worth noting for those avid about positioning :D
That could be true.. Haven't used the Recruit mechanic to notice the difference, but I can see that it's slightly less control if you can't position purposefully.
How forget when toast acted in the low budget version of Azeroth's Pirates of the Caribbean
I'm officially excited now.
The intro is so epic tho!
Yeah. When they made a keyword for CAST WHEN DRAWN, why not keep Recruit?
Rush? When you can summon/recruit 3x Skycap'n Kragg with Charrrrrge in Wild.
This card is going to be fun to play for sure.
I really hope the pirates pop out of a cannon like Patches the Pirate! That would be awesome!
Edit: Ive just seen the video. Im so disappointed.
Unless we get more good pirates printed in future expansions this isn't very strong it's ok but not really game-changing.
"We're in a rush now!!!!"
