If you want to save money when buying Hearthstone packs, you should check out Amazon Coins! It's an easy way to save up to 25% off Hearthstone packs so you can get into the new expansion without worrying about your wallet too much. We've got a detailed guide on how to Get Started with Amazon Coins, but if you've already dealt with them in the past, you can buy some more by clicking right here.
The best part though? You don't even need an Android device because we've got a guide to show you how to setup an emulator if you're on PC!
I mean, you put this together with Ship's Cannon at 10 mana and....hahaha. Sorry, couldn't finish typing it with straight...fingers(?) Pirate Rogue with 8 drops. Nnnnnaaah. It can give you a final hurrah if you got maybe a coin + prep + cannon barrage but who are we kidding, you're not putting a Sky Captain Krag just to charge someone down for 4 damage with this, and you're not putting coin generators and prep in your aggressive rogue to pair with an 8 drop either. Especially not an 8 drop that will mostly pull a bunch of 1-3 drops instead of something meaty. This would require a brand new style of pirate-based Rogue to be created, and I'm not seeing it.
Can we PLEASE rotate Preparation to the wild already?
The only reason this is THIS expensive is that otherwise Captain Hooktusk + Preparation + Cannon Barrage would be a thing.
For 11 Mana - so you need an additional coin.
Are you guys dumb? I mean it's 8 mana because if it was 7 mana you could use THIS (7) + prep + 6 mana spell (3) for 10 mana.
I never said you can do it now. I'm just saying both cards are only this expensive because prep exists.
This card is so good that I'll never play it. :P
Waiting for more pirates!
Actually, the best Pirates that can be summoned are:
I guess a combo with Ticket Scalper and Southsea Captain could be playable in a meme deck. But without more pirates Captain Hooktusk is not good at the moment.
Or do I miss something?
Southsea captain is definitely a better option than Greenskin because of his battlecry
Blizzard creates a Recruit mechanic and key word just to ignore it on later expansions.
They do that with almost every single mechanic they create.
Because it is a flavour keyword.
Sure, this is not for a aggro or tempo pirate deck at least not in standard, it has to be some crazy shenanigans that i cant see right now.
maybe if it was 7 mana you could play Preparation and the Cannon Barrage card alongside it
not that many good pirates and i doubt this will see much play in standard at least
Why the text does not says: Recruit 3 pirates and give them Rush
Blizzard creates a Recruit mechanic and key word just to ignore it on later expansions.
We have also to consider that Wild is a thing
blizzard fucking hate rogue. Maybe it will be first expansion where i will not craft any golden rogue legendaries.
Lol paladin main? This aint overwatch or dota etc my friend. U can enjoy the full game by having decks across the board. Unless ur a recent f2p and dont have enough to expand
I mean....it's not bad, but the best possible scenario is double Southsea Captin + Captain Greenskin (or ticket Scalper/that one ghost pirate from WW that nobody remembers)...which kinda makes her worse than Kathrena.
I'm not even sure what sort of deck I'm supposed to play this in. Even if you get out two Scalpers who both overkill and draw you 2 cards, where exactly does that leave you? Eventually you're gonna be out of a deck and if you're playing a truly aggressive rushdown pirate deck, why would you run an 8-drop that barely even qualifies as a board refill?
I'm pretty sure we're going to get a few more pirates that will justify running this, and maybe it has a place in Even ROgue if that deck ever takes off, but I'm not really convinced this is the big pirate enabler people seem to think it is
You can discover her with Gurubashi Hypemon! And also shuffle more pirates into your deck with Lab Recruiter. I have a hunch that the remaining Rogue common cards this expansion are pirates!
Trash! Give the pirates charge and the card could maybe be playable. And even with charge the card whould be maybe too expansive for a pirate deck, which is by nature an aggro or at least a tempo deck.
Or is this an out of season april joke?
