BlizzCon 2018 - Final Year of the Raven Expansion Announcement, Future of Adventures
BlizzCon is right around the corner! Taking place on November 2 and 3, we've got 4 events this year excluding esports - the same as last year. It's no surprise we're going to see a new expansion announcement at the show, but there is a panel of interest towards the end of the show which aims to discuss adventures.
Read the descriptions for each of the panels below followed by the all important schedule. It should also be noted this will be the first BlizzCon without Ben Brode echoing into the convention center as a leader of panels and assumingly the overhead voice everyone was so accustomed to hearing.
You can check out the full schedule over on the BlizzCon website.
BlizzCon 2018 Hearthstone Panels
An entire panel to talk about the past and future of Hearthstone's solo PVE content. Maybe something big planned for the next expansion?

Maybe someone will cosplay BB... with bluetooth speaker :D
The headline mentions the 'future of adventures' but I cant find anything in the article, quotes, etc. about the future of adventures at all. Did I miss something? Anyone else know what that is referring to?
I do see where it mentions a 'panel of interest near the end' related to adventures... but it doesn't name the panel, and I cant tell from looking which one it is. I guess that is the 'future of adventures' reference?
Ah, ok, thanks! I guess its just Hearthpwn's announcement of Blizzard's announcement that eventually there will be news announced, AT the Blizzcon.
Silly me, I saw the headline about Future of Adventures, and thought it might tell us something in the article. Of course, I wasn't being realistic, lol. My bad!
It also mentioned Final Year of the Raven Expansion; but I cannot find anything about the final expansion. Did I miss that as well?
I don't understand why Blizzcon starts so late in the day?! Most of Hearthstone related topics start late in the evening or even after midnight in CET time. I think that people from the East or West coast wouldn't mind if event would start couple of hours earlier - and on the other hand it would be much more convenient for CET people not to stay awake long into the night to listen to the streamer showdown.
Somehow I am already more interrested in the next rotation because quests, death knights and legendary weapons plus a shitload of extremely powerful cards will rotate out. There will be a gigantic opening afterwards for the existing cards plus future expansions.
We don't have Ben on the blizz stage anymore :(
I got semi-excited when I read "The future of adventures" thinking about the actual real adventures we used to have, and then I was promptly disappointed when I realized they were talking about the adventures that reward a card back and last 72 hours or less.
Please no more card back, i rather have them give us ticket holders a golden meme card we can play til expansion release.
I'M THERE DUDE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All I want is for Adventures to come back, and I mean ACTUAL Adventures. The kind you pay for and get 45 cards from.
They want you to spend more money on RNG packs. They dont make same money compared to the adventures one
Sad but true.
This. So much this.
I think a lot more than people think, Ben's charisma was/is irreplaceable and I'm sure they've noticed a drop off from people who just don't feel the same way about it anymore because no one like Ben has tried to sell them it as he could.
I wonder how much Ben's absence will impact ticket sales from HS players that traditionally go to Blizzcon or buy the virtual ticket. My guess is that it'll be a noticeable decline.
A lot less than you would want
On the future of adventures:
I gave up hope we will ever get a real adventure again like Nax or LoE; effectively an expansion you can fully purchase for a very reasonable price. I know, I will always be stuck in the endless hellish cycle of hoarding gold for 4 months, spend all on the new expension, and repeat doing that forever, while I open like 50-60 Classic packs per year from Tavern Brawls and quests.
However, I seriously hope that they won't completely scrap Dungeon Run, because KnC goes to Wild and thus should for some stupid reason be not part of the game anymore.
Dungeon Run was a very cool idea and still one of the best additions they ever made to the game. It's just a shame they never bothered with some rewards for that mode, aside from that one Daily Quest. But really, I wish they would just leave it as part of the game. If nothing else, it's a great way to learn the game. You can get familiar with cards and mechanics, learn some basic deckbuilding, and have fun mastering all the classes.
Who gives a damn whether it's Standard or Wild? You don't need any cards for it, and it won't ever go foul, unless you nerf too many cards for some classes to become unplayable.
Please, FFS Blizzard, just come out and say that Wild mode is not the bad stain on your precious Standard "freshness", and that at least Wild adventures stay around, if you still can't be bothered to re-add Wild sets to the in-game store.
It's the announcement of the announcement! ^.^
