besides the fact that this cards powerlevel makes other cards cry, I think we really need to change the artwork.. It will be much harder if the set will be released. I really didn't think that the artwork of Omega Defender had to change but this Art is just all in all awfull
All these insane Druid cards are starting to get ridiculous. Ramp - mana cheat - dead T6.
Cue Face Hunter making a comeback.
I get the feeling Malygos is going to the HoF
Star alligner sinergy!!
Star Aligner goes off of Health value, not cost
It's over 9000!!!
Honestly, thinking about this it does require some set up. However, with god-tier draws of nothing but ramp and combo pieces, and a little RNG luck from trying to reduce cost on two minions, this could be an insane 50 damage combo early in the game.
1) Play a bunch of ramp to 10 mana quickly
2) With Malygos and either Floop, Ixlid, or a Faceless in hand play this card and Drakkari Enchanter
3) Pray that they each get hit with one of the 7 mana cost reductions.
4) Once you 2x Swipe and 2x Moonfire, play your two reduced minions (2 mana Maly into free Floop/Faceless or free Ixlid into 2 mana Maly), followed by face damage spells for 50 damage.
Personally I'm thinking more about a ramping Big Druid style. We've already seen how a random Tyrantus for 6/7 mana could be really good. What if you can more consistently play him from hand for 3 or less mana? Followed by a Faceless Manipulator, or maybe Ixlid, Fungal Lord into a reduced cost Tyrantus, then a Faceless for four 12/12s that can't be targeted by spells? If you use the Dreampetal Florist plus Drakkari Enchanter combo you can play all three in one turn for ten mana as long as the two reductions hit different targets. Same combo can be had with other big minions like The Lich King.
Flobbidinous Floop won't keep mana cost reduction enhancement after new transfrom rules.

Well then screw that guy, he's out of the club! :)
Ixilid, Tyrantus, and a Faceless still do the trick if you play Florist and Enchanter together. Granted the two reductions don't hit the same minion (unless that minion is Tyrantus).
I first read this as "at the start of your turn" and was already afraid, but it's "at the end of your turn" this is fucking BONKERZ
Seriously, why are those recent druid reveals all combo oriented? at least this card will only be good against control, and aggro will not like disappear after the next expansion, so maybe this one wont find a place between all the powerful druid cards.
Wtf is team 5 doing!? It's like they don't give a damn about Combo decks anymore.

I don't think this card is as absurd as everybody says it is. Sure it's great for combo potential (which makes the inner Johnny in me incredibly happy) but it just feels like you are sacrificing too much for this without getting enough of a reward. If you look at data from Vicious Syndicate , it shows that it struggles against more aggressive lists, which would make sense as it takes a bit to get to it's combo and the needed mana to play it. That being said, how does a 7 mana 4/4 that speeds up the combo help when chances are, you are developing this minion when you would be about to win the game anyway in the next turn or two anyway? Sure this lets you do more fun and whackier combos, but in terms of this card being used in T1 decks I just can't see. Playing a 7 mana 4/4 that pretty much does nothing the turn it is played just gives aggressive decks an easier time to shut you out. Why play this when instead you can go and play the Druid DK to help stabilize or some other card that lets you draw into the remaining combo pieces?
Don't get me wrong, I think this card can be used to make some fun combo decks, since thats basically all druid is at this point (atleast fun for whoever is playing the deck), but I don't think this card is going to be apart of that deck. This card is horrible for the game, but not in terms of being too strong in the current meta and more of it just being too limiting on future cards printed and for that reason, it wouldn't surprise me to see this card changed in some way, possibly with the pagle treatment.
I think one big problem is it's going to have 100% win rate against "greedy control" decks. Whether it's Malygos or Togwaggle. And druid has been given many ways to survive against aggro, so they will also counter aggro. Also, Malygos or Togwaggle druids will counter other combo decks because it will be more reliable I think (especially vs Shudderwock).
I just don't see a deck right now that can counter these guys. I haven't given toooo much thought about other cards in this expansion yet, but this card worries me. It would be nice if the community could agree as a whole to not play druid 50% of the time lol. There are a lot of other really interesting cards in this expansion which could make for an interesting, fun meta.
I guess, but then the issue just becomes playing the proper tech for these cards then. The new warlock 2 mana transform a minion into a random demon rains on combo deck's parade any day of the week and in wild, there's still Dirty Rat in wild. It feels like people forget these cards exist despite the fact that if you pull a combo piece (and kill it, depending on which one it is), the game is pretty much just over. Yeah these decks are going to be difficult to face early on in the expansion, but the same happened for Shudderwock Shaman at launch of WW, where everybody thought the deck was all high and mighty only to find out it sucked a ton in like a week (and only became better after the nerfs) but once people see those decks, they'll find a counter for it. I don't worry about this card for being the heart and soul of a combo deck, but instead of it just limiting card space.
I understand those tech cards. I'm just sad that I basically have to play warlock if I want to counter these druids. I'd like to play around with tempo rogue, midrange paladin, big spell mage (just a few examples) if I could. I don't want to queue against a druid and think to myself "Well, here we go again" before losing a 15-20 minute match. I'm really hoping there's another transform card like that warlock spell. A similar effect should have been on a neutral battlecry (or even neutral deathrattle, might make it more balanced). Maybe that's still coming.
Also, I don't play wild. But I would really love for a Dirty Rat-esque card to come to standard. Especially with druid getting all these insane late game cards.
"The issue just becomes playing the proper tech"
And the actual issue is that there are 7 whole classes missing the "proper tech" from their library in standard, and they already stated they have no plans for neutral hand disruption tech this expansion.
The insane part of this is it makes the combo more consistent. Right now in standard the Maly Druid often relies on Twig of the World Tree to play Malygos, swing to break weapon, then play spells. That can be countered with weapon removal the turn before they are ready to unless the combo. If the only minion they have in hand besides this is Malygos, he gets reduced to (2), so the following turn you can Maly, 2x Swipe, 2x Moonfire for 30 damage to face.
If you are able to play two of these over the course of the game, or Drakkari Enchanter with it in a single turn, potentially giving you a free Faceless, Floop, or Ixlid along with your 2 mana Maly (admittedly not reliable as the cost reduction is to a random minion in hand) then this would be a 10 mana, 50 damage combo.
So yes, it probably isn't as crazy as we all think, and would only appear super broken with god-tier draws playing a lot of ramp into this when you already have Maly as the only minion in hand, and necessary spells in hand. I wonder if this card will still become a problem somehow in a new Big Druid archtype. I mean, a 3 mana Tyrantus would be pretty sweet!
And if you play this with Drakkari Enchanter after ramping to 10 mana, double the giant discounts. Enter the Giant Druid with new Mulcheater guy thrown in.
