Academic Espionage
I believe I have found the optimal use of this card, proceed as follows:
Step 1: Play quest mage
Step 2: Finnish quest
Step 3: Equip Aluneth and draw most/all of your deck
Step 4: In first turn, play Sorcerer's apprentice x2, Molten reflection, Prince Taldaram, Time warp
Step 5: In second turn, play Augmented elekk x2, Molten reflection (on elekk), Deck of wonders x2
You now have a total of 40 scrolls of wonder in your deck
Finally, Step 6: End your turn and let god decide who lives and who dies
'' Well, that just sounds like
slaveryExodia with extra steps ''Why end turn, I believe you still have enough mana for a novice engineer.
Mana ain't a problem but hand size + board space is
no it's 9 cards in hand and exactly 7 minions on board, you can pull this off if you're brave enough
yeah, the combo is possible but you can't play the novice engineer, therefor i went with aluneth
Is the extra value worth it in control warrior with deadman's hand? Because the value is great but this is a dead draw against aggro
its a solid 3 mana 3/4 on its own, and control warrior is also getting a 1 mana 1/3, which are 2 of the best stat lines you can play against aggro in the early game
I play DMH mill and DMH N'zoth warrior decks in wild, and i dont see Elekk in this decks. Main thing here is - DMH is not about shuffle maximum amount of cards on fatigue, but instead shuffle only cards you need to draw in next few turns before you can DMH again.
Pogo hopper quest rogue...im calling it now
Your 13/13 Pogo Hopper is now 5/5 Congratz!
I'm not getting the catch - why Pogo Hoppers? Why not Faldorei Strider? Why Quest, even? And I mean If the Hoppers do get battlecry buffed as everyone thinks, why would you want to waste a quest on lowering all Pogo Hoppers on board to 5/5s, for only a 2 Pogo-Hopper card difference?
That's not how the quest works... your 13/13 Pogo Hopper would then be 17/17.
The Rogue quest sets the base stats to 4/4, the stat gain on Pogo is a battlecry, it starts at 4/4 then gains more stats.
Edwin VanCleef works like that with the combo, battlecry should function the same.
But quest buff apply before battlecry so you can use quest
In case anyone is wondering: All shuffle posibilities
+ Iron Juggernaut
So with Brann Bronzebeard that would mean 4 bombs? Nice way to put 40 damage in your opponents deck.
I like it. Tick Emperor once with 2 in your hand to get it in one turn.
Worrying about decks only in the Wild format. LUL
Now I can have an actual Deck of Wonders.
