Furyhunter wins without a hunter deck...that's gross!
I disagree, the meta slowing down didnt result in more control mirrors for me. It just meant more shudderwock shaman and other OTK combo decks. And since we don't have dirty rat in standard, there's no counterplay. You just have to hope they don't draw their combo until you can kill them. Idk about you but I'd way rather play against aggro.
I tried an anti aggro and anti otk deck, a treachery/howlfiend warlock and the deck just need a card like possessed villager to consistently pull off the combo, it's almost there but not good enough to keep decks like Shudderwock, Hadronox and stuff like that in check.
Well, it's more diverse than before, but obviously the power archetypes remain even if they've just shifted.
I must admit, the big surprise for me is how strong Miracle Rogue has become in such a short time. While we can all argue about the state of the meta, I think that we can agree that not having RNG clown fiesta decks at the top if good.
I wonder what the win rate of Hunter is in this tournament... I' ve always thought hunter decks are better than odd rogue and even miracle rogue...
i love this meta, shitting on druids/locks/mages with big boy hunter is so much fun ;]
AKA's big spell mage is 13,500 dust? o.0 people will be remortgaging their houses to make that deck
Not really, my big spell mage is 11500 dust and I haven't spent 1 single euro on this game. It's not hard to craft such a control deck, it's just people that can't save dust and they spend it on low cost aggro decks.
Lol mine is 14 400 dust XD
There will always be at least 2 dominant classes. It's not blizzard fault this time. It's players who can't stop caring for 2% WR difference.
It's a tournament. Of course they're gonna care about every marginal WR advatange.
I wasnt just talking about tournament. I dont think neither did he.
On a page showcasing the top 64 decklists where warlocks and druids are the most popular class, he said warlocks and druids everywhere. I assume he was talking about the tournment. And the current meta has more than two dominant classes. Hunter, rogue, paladin, warlock, druid, and shaman are all well represented. Only warrior and priest, and to a lesser extent, mage, are under the radar.
"We have a balanced meta now, please dont count the few cards that came from the most recent set, or you'll notice how poor our planning was for this expansion. And whatever you do, DO NOT REALIZE that despite the lack of witchwood cards baku and genn will define and ruin your meta for the next 2 years. Thanks."
This topic has been beaten like a dead horse. It's a GOOD THING that there aren't that many witchwood cards. If there were, that would mean that the expansion would have created an even more powerful meta, powerful enough to eclipse the K&C and KFT cards that are currently in so many decks. Look at the cards. The whole idea was to reset the powerlevel and set the foundation for new mechanics and decktypes. And that is exactly what we have.
Not to mention that Baku and Genn has created many new archteypes and made previously never played cards viable through the even/odd restriction. That's something few people expected and I think that's pretty cool.
I like control meta but seriously this time it's residentsleeper decks.
hadronox druid VS hadronox druid.
However, the best residentsleeper token druid match was dreamhack Austin final Zalae VS Amnesiac. ABSOFREAKINGLUETLY loved it!!
Agreed control meta shows a better display of skill unlike getting destroyed by aggro make on turn 6.. because too much skill lol
Wow what a surprise Warlock and Druid everywhere. Guess it's better than Warlock and Paladin everywhere... I guess.
give me a down vote
I down vote just for you :)
