Five Wallet-Friendly Witchwood Decks for the Budget Conscious

Five Wallet-Friendly Witchwood Decks for the Budget Conscious

There's a lot of new and exciting Witchwood decks out there but not all of them fit everyone's needs. Whether you don't have too many of the new cards or you're just interested in trying something new that doesn't require all the dust in the world, we've got solutions for your dust problem!

Below you'll find our five picks for budget decks that will help you out on the Standard ladder.

Midrange Hunter

This deck made it to the top decks of the past week post we put up earlier and it's so great that we're showcasing it again! 1200 dust becomes almost nothing when you consider most of the cards are from the Classic and Basic sets which most players should have. As of writing, Dire Frenzy and Wing Blast are the only new cards you'll need.

Tempo Mage

Vex Crow is a crazy addition we received to the Mage arsenal during The Witchwood. The amount of value one can get through low-cost spells is absurd and the possible drops are crazy! The best part about this deck though is that you can upgrade it over time as you collect more great Mage cards such as those the deck author has suggested for inclusion - Primordial Glyph, Aluneth, Archmage Antonidas, Pyroblast.

Amaz's Secret Paladin

This is the only deck we're highlighting here that has a slightly high crafting cost when it comes down to a budget pick, but hear us out real quick! If aggro-style value Paladin decks are something you like, there are a couple of very key investments in this deck! Two Call to Arms are must-have cards for anything in this realm of Paladin which are a cool 800 dust; They flood the board with greatness!

Sunkeeper Tarim is the other card that is used across a variety of Paladin decks to great success and it's not only a great tool to buff your small guys up, but it also makes the enemy's large dudes weaker and enables you to effectively trade into them in the case of ugly, high health taunts. Sunkeeper is definitely a staple of Paladin and he's here for another year so it's worthy of any dust you can scrounge up. If you don't have Sunkeeper though and have no plans of crafting him, don't worry, not all hope is lost! Although it isn't as perfect, Spikeridged Steed could be substituted to make it a more budget-friendly deck and it gives one of your dudes a nice body and pet.

Odd Hunter

We've picked this deck off the ladder specifically because it's cheap to run and has a solid win-rate that is around 53% overall. Some may consider the requirement of Baku the Mooneater to flip this into a non-budget deck, but with how big of a staple this card currently is in several different decks, we think it's a very safe craft for anyone that is on a budget and you definitely won't regret it in the long-run. Other decks you could play Baku with include Odd Paladin and Odd Quest Warrior.

Combo Priest

Another deck that has no specific author but we've picked up through looking at some stats we have. The deck is making use of the old tried-and-true fun from Priest where you buff up your minion's health and then Inner Fire for huge, dangerous swings. You've also got a ton of healing potential which interacts with card draw and buffs which helps you keep your board presence up. Lots of value to be had with this Priest deck. You could potentially add Lady in White to the deck, though in doing so you'd also want some higher health minions and that's not what this deck is all about, you should give this deck a try if you're interested in playing with the Lady.

Warriors are definitely not a favoured match-up for you, but things look good agains Hunters, other Priests, and Shamans so depending on what you see, you may be in for a great time!
