I know what epic Im gonna get 3 or 4 of in my pack opening
whats ur mission with this life? why r u so dumb lol
The card itself doesn't look too great, given that the Shammy hero power costs 2 mana... BUT! this card costs 4 mana which is an even mana cost. Maybe we could see an even-cost Totem Shaman deck, since it would reduce the cost of our hero power to 1 mana. If this happens, this card will probably see game play.
So far, however, the only even-cost support for Shaman in WW are Hagatha the Witch and the Murkspark Eel. The previous sets (that won't rotate out of Standard) have :
Crushing Hand Kobold Hermit Murmuring Elemental Grumble, Worldshaker
The Runespear
Brrrloc Cryostasis Ice Fishing Avalanche Moorabi
Fire Plume Harbinger Primalfin Totem Tidal Surge Kalimos, Primal Lord
Ancestral Spirit Stormforged Axe Al'Akir the Windlord Ancestral Healing
Totemic Might Flametongue Totem Rockbiter Weapon Windfury Hex Windspeaker Fire Elemental
Currently, everything looks all over the place : there are not many Shaman cards with even-cost and/or totem synergy. If we want to build an even-cost Totem-centric deck, we won't be able to include Primal Talismans, Windshear Stormcaller, some sort of early board clear (Lightning Storm and Volcano are out, and Avalanche doesn't seem very efficient as a board clear), perhaps Bloodlust as a finisher, and durable card draw (Far Sight and more importantly, Mana Tide Totem are out).
The even-cost Totem Shaman archetype will depend on the rest of the card set. We'll see on Monday.
if totem shaman will be a thing this will fit for sure
It would be played in an even deck which allows 1 mana totems, making it potentially get +6/+6 on turn 4 which could be insane.. and you wouldnt exactly be doing much else in early game with the even deck anyway.
This minion is not just bad.
It's awful:
A 4 mana 2/3 Taunt is a very weak base body.
You are also paying 2 mana for a battlecry that kills your own board!
You need to actually sacrifice at least 1 totem to get at least stats worth 4 mana - and friendly totems usually cost 2 mana.
Therefore you actually do not get any advantage from sacrificing your totems.
-You still overpay an understated minion:
With 1 basic totem it's a 6 mana 4/5, with all 4 it would be a 12 mana 10/11.
-Since it *destroys* your totems, you actually only get 2 points worth of stats from the battlycry
-You also loose your totem effects
And it even gets worse. It also destroys Mana Tide Totem, Primalfin Totem and Flametongue Totem; all card that actually see constructed play.
Basically this is like a Phantom Freebooter (which barely sees any play) that also destroys your own weapon.
That's how bad this thing is.
One is actually enough since it would be a 4/5 for 4 which is equivalent to a Chillwind Yeti which has one of the greatest stats of the basic pool. I say equivalent because even if it taunt on top of that, it still has this specific weakness to silence. Speakinfg of silence, it's amazing yet very situationnal for when you have silenced 0/2 totems on board.
Among other situationnal usage :
-Remove a manatide that stood for too long on board
-Remove the 1/1 again a mage DK
-Get value through damage units, especially with amalgam
It's not a bard card. This card is fair, again. Fair doesn't become meta.
Good synergy with Primal Talismans. It might be interesting
If only it had "it gains its stats and its effects", would be way cooler.
OH yes, Lets kill ALL our totems, so we cant even bloodlust the enemy down! Perfect idea!
The only ones that have ever seen any play for last year do.
I feel like the key ot using this is to not go overboard on value.... In a genn Deck where totems are just 1-mana and you'll spam them whenever you can it doesn't seem to bad just as a 5-mana 4/5 with taunt that always has the option to be bigger. At the end of the day, we haven't seen the rest of the Even Shaman cards, so there might very well be a few other cards that require immediate silence/removal, meaning that the more of those your deck has, the more likely it is for one to eventually get some value.
Lol i like how all the haters get -6 to -20 votes... But they are right... This is kinda trashy. You need at least 2 totem out for this to be good, which means you have already 'wasted' 4 mana.... honestly, this card is garbage... The taunt is nice, but not even close to be worth it...
Flamewreathed Faceless was good because you didnt waste mana, it was a 6mana 7-7 on 4mana, and the overload sometimes buffed your Tunnel Trogg, for extra value and tempo. This card does not buff anything, and its a 6mana 4-5, or an 8mana 6-7, etc.... You get my point.
It's not that bad. I think it's meant for Genn Greymane decks. Maybe even add Justicar Trueheart for Wild.
The only way I could think of destroying all my totems would be, if I cast Primal Talismans or Spirit Echo on them first. But for such an unlikely and costly combo I'd say the card is too weak...
everydeck has a removal, even aggrodecks, silence etc.
I see no play for this at all, actually it only affect you in bad way. Because in 80% scenarios such a minion will be instantly removed from a board, and you waste nut just 4 mana, but all that mana to build up to make it with higher stats.
Arena card max. And should be common rarity.
I agree that it's not a good card but "This card is not good because it's vulnerable to silence" is a bullshit argument. I see that argument on a big part of all new minions, yet half of all decks don't run any silence cards and the other half only one.
i would agree with you saying Silence isn't that abundant in the meta right now, expect a few Spellbreaker....or Ironbeak Owl if you're cool like that, but this card has some potential...its 4 mana so maybe it will be good in even totem shaman?? Hope this card ends up good!
