100% pack filler but at least they don't show a wasteland of imagination on the designer's part, like Pompous Thespian.
100% pack filler? I get amazed time and time again on how bad this community is at rating new cards.
They're all excellent in arena. A 2 mana 1/4 with spell damage could even see some constructed play.
I didn't say they were bad arena cards. They are pack fillers though. You don't open packs for Arena play, and the swap mechanic is too unreliable and extremely situational to be good in constructed. I mostly play fun decks and these cards don't even make it to a fun/meme deck.
Just your opinion bro. I personally think these cards inspire a different playstyle altogether and are very interesting to fit into a deck. Besides, you don't know how the meta will turn out. Everyone called Corridor Creeper a bad card, and look what it warranted. Furthermore, how do you know what the decks in Witchwood will be? How do you know that these cards won't be played at least a little bit? These aren't pack fillers, there's a little bit of thought put into them, they aren't Worgen Greaser or Pompous Thespian.
They aren't any of those horrible cards (which is exactly what I said) but they are 100% pack filler. spellshifter is a worse Kobold Geomancer 50% of the time. Geomancer is a Basic card. Same for the others, they're just worse options half the time, and not that whole better on their upside. They're highly dependent on the turn you draw them and the situation you're in. That's just stacking unreliability upon unreliability. But we'll see I guess. Like I said, pack filler, but it definitely could be worse.
wow..a 4 mana 6/2 that doesn't summon minions for your opponent..too bad it is rush and not charge.
Next Card to be revealed looks like doomsayer, bet it has the same swap mechanic :D
That would actually be cool if it had a good deathrattle in that form only. ^^
I think "shapeshift" might be a good keyword here for the mechanic. Other than that though: filler cards.
Only problem is then that it will be another keyword that nubs will need to learn.
I mean they are getting rid of Enrage, because our brains can only handle about 10 keywords at a time.
Yeah, they remove Enrage because they "haven't been using it" and then give us Redband Wasp.
That is exactly what they are doing? Watch the announcement where they show the pumpkin farmer.
How about we keyword the swap ability... "Swap"?
"Shapeshift" is better IMO
I'd take either.
Glad to see alot of the neutral cards revealed so far has some flavor in them, possibly make it into some decks.
Girls are very decent, flexible for almost any deck and f2p friendly. I like this!
Gilnean Royal Guard is actually "deal 8 damage to a minion and summon 8/3". Not bad, not bad at all.
Or go for full (meme) Girl power with a Lady in White in your deck. "deal 8 damage to a minion and summon 8/8". That's even better!
Sniper Ragnaros is that you?
If the two first cards didn't have rush, they would've been bad.
with the rush effect with high health/attack you can make some remarkable comebacks,
They also synergies with the new Warrior weapon, Woodcutter's Axe
Tempo warrior doesn't seem that bad anymore.
Spellshifter seems pretty bad on with 4/1. I would play it on 1/4 cause of it's spell damage boost. If you want to go full face then 4/1 might not be a bad alternative.
