And I don't think a pirate deck(will be aggressive) should play 6 mana card to simply kill a Tar Creeper draw a Elven Minstrel or SI:7 Agent etc.
this a good card definitely, Rush trades especially favorables ones leaving a minion on the board benefits rogue more than warrior or hunter.
many good commentaries already here.. card is very Odd!
on the Pro side is: It is literally a "Tutor" card - which mean you can search for special cards in your deck - which is a very strong effect
but it remains to be seen whether or not we get a very strong combo card to search for... Elven Minstrel, Edwin VanCleef and Spectral Pillager are maybe the "strongest" effects, besides Eviscerate which is super good but a cheap spell on its own - but what would a deck look like which include these cards... weird for now...
Actually, this card is Even.
You gotta be careful with the words 'odd' and 'even' this set.
#mega lol - you got me!
ok i swap it to "WEIRD" then :D
and yes how could i forgot Vilespine Slayer... :D
Look like a Lady in White counter to me, oh wait
Starfire
Let's see:
1) Reasonable turn 10 combo with Elven Minstrel, though extremely poor tempo.
2) Perhaps could fit in a miracle shell to draw Edwin VanCleef (this seems like a weak option).
3) Rogue does not have any problems in removing minions, so the Rush aspect of the card is not very meaningful in rogue (unless rogue ends up getting some viable rush synergy). A combo'd Eviscerate deals 1 less damage to a minion for 2 mana instead of 6, and eviscerate can also ignore taunt whereas this can't.
4) Overall seems weak, but the power level of this card is massively dependent on what (if any) combo cards and/or pirates are added in Witchwood. I can't imagine we'll get many or any pirates apart from this, just because of the set's flavour and themes.
Looks like a fair card, hard to adjust after the Lady in White reveal, but this seems like a reasonable tool to pull out other combo cards.
I think Cursed Castaway would be a much better date. Lady in White is far too much up her own ass. Whenever possible, date a pirate woman.
daaamn pirate rogue replayable
Seems decent, immediate board impact, draw a card, and deathrattle synergy with spellstone, i like it. Wonder if having a deathrattle focused deck without N'Zoth and just for spellstone is going to be worth it though, especially when Vilespine Slayer already exists. It'll be fun to try out.
Like is there some combo card you really want to draw?
Vilespine Slayer for setup next turn, or maybe Eviscerate on the turn 8 play.

"8 Mana - Deal 5 to a minion, then deal 4 to a minion"
OP AF
Based on the thumbs down you got I assume you are wrong.
The card you draw will often be a spell, or something like Elven Minstrel which would be a great draw as well. The fact that this is a minion doesn't matter that much. It draws a card, that's often a good enough effect to make up for that.
If you draw something like eviscerate, this is 9 damage right off the bat, assuming it dies in a trade. 9 damage for 8 mana isn't bad at all, and if it doesn't die, that's even better.
I can easily see this being a solid card in some specific archetypes such as deathrattle rogue. This card won't create whole new decks, but it can be a solid pick in existing ones. The question is if those archetypes will be viable.
The context you are evaluating the card in based on a Miracle Shell, of which this card is definitely inferior to Gadgetzan Auctioneer.
But if you played more minion based rogue decks like deathrattle rogue, this card is kinda what it needs without forcing itself to put Prep, Backstab, Evis to be somewhat viable. This can allow Rogue deck who play deathrattle to focus on putting more minions to gain extra value from cards like Roll the Bones or the Onyx Spellstone. It can also allow minion based rogue decks to fight for board somewhat, and some card advantage.
Well If you want to give some Pirates to Rogue, give sth sturdy like Kor'kron Elite or Bloodsail Cultist to make a Pirate Rogue a useful deck. I'd rather use Phantom Freebooter.
