Curse of Naxxramas - Priest Minion Card Revealed - Dark Cultist
A new card from the Curse of Naxxramas Adventure has appeared on the PlayHearthstone Twitter account and it's a Priest Minion! You can find more information about Curse of Naxxramas here.
If you'd like to discuss Dark Cultist, head on over to this thread on the card discussion forums.

Naxxramas Card Recap
With the addition of today's card, Dark Cultist, we're now up to a total of 13 known cards from Naxxramas, 8 of which are class cards. Check out the previously announced cards below!
Who thinks Naxx release is around the corner, we only have one more card reveal left after this one.
I'm thinking there'll be a big announcement on June 20 (that being the 8 year anniversary of the Naxx debut in World of Warcraft). Pricing and release date. (As much as I'd hope it will be released June 20, that's probably not realistic.) I would expect the release to be within 14 days of the announcement (hopefully July 1).
Not a bad hypothesis at all, I hope you are right.
This card is crap... deathrattle should have been destroy an enemy minion with 4 attack damage
You're dreaming. 4 attack minions are a weakness of Priests by design. They won't get a card to destroy 4 attack minions any time soon, if ever.
No stuff which is why nobody plays priest
The Priest class' failing isn't 4 mana minions, it's effective board clear. Being able to destroy 4 attack minions with a single card is not what is holding priests back.
Priests should be weak against the rush, but not as weak as they are today.
This is a step in the right direction to make what I would argue is the most interesting class in the game viable.
Can anyone clear up why some seem to think this is a random effect? To me it's 'give', as in, control the target, but I can see it's debatable.
It`s random,confirmed by Ben Brode.
cool, thank's for that.
Late to the party! Interesting card. A great minion for Priests, but also one that soft-forces them into having minions on the field, which is not always something Priests concentrate on.
Also, yet more silencing fodder for this release. Priests allready were the 1 class you kept a silence for just in case, but it's going to be tricky to decide when to use it now.
I forsee the meta in Naxx first trying to silence everything, before slowly stripping away silences again to add more value cards and just taking the lumps.
Really solid card for 3 mana. Random Temple Enforcer deathrattle? Count me in!
I think its gonna be real tough to play around and bait a lot of removal (i.e turn 3 cultist, turn 4 yeti).
Would be nice if they put some icon on the card showing it's from the Naxxramas 'expansion'. After a bunch of those expansions that might come in handy or be fun, I dunno. I think Magic did that with their cards, not sure though. Been like 15 years since I played that.
Best 3 drop in terms of stats, even beats harvest golem if you count the +3 health.
So 2 months since Naxx reveal and still no release date. Lame.
Downside - it's not great if yr behind against zoo etc except as fodder, and Injured BM might be preferable with CoH, etc. It opens up a more aggro early game deck for priests, I suppose.
The deathrattle effect will cause your opponent to want to kill your other minions first, which also gives this minion's ability the feeling of "Give your other minions taunt" when going up against midrange or control decks.
Ideally, you will be able to drop this on turn 3. Your opponent will trade his turn 2 drop into him and then drop another minion with 3 health or less. Then on turn 4 you can drop another minion and use your Dark Cultist to kill his turn 3 drop for a 2-for-1 play, giving your turn 4 minion +3 health in the process!
Of course we know it won't happen like this most of the time, but being able to drop a 2nd minion on turn 4 before trading your Dark Cultist will be a great play.
I find it highly unlikely that he would expedite an unfavorable trade. Generally he would go for face so that if you wanted to take a favorable trade you would have to do it on your turn.
Exactly, this card is only good if your opponent is terrible at the game.
