Vote for your Favourite Community Created Additional Arena Combatant Cards
It's that time again - time to vote for a winner in a card design competition!
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
- Your card must be an "Arena Exclusive" card
- Your card must be a class card (as all current exclusive cards are)
- Your card cannot use the new Echo or Rush keywords, or a 'Start of Game' effect - we'd prefer for this competition to be about Arena cards, rather than who can make the most interesting card with the new mechanics
- Since Arena Exclusive cards are in the arena pool only for a certain time duration, they can be a little crazier than what you're used to seeing in Arena or even Constructed, though you should adhere to some reasonable self-imposed restrictions; for example, 1-cost Pyroblast is not a way to go, thanks!
- Arena Exclusive cards have no rarity or watermark, so treat them as Basic cards for Hearthcards purposes.
This Week's Finalists
Out of 100 entries, we've narrowed it down to 12 of the community's favourites. Check out the finalists below and then head on over to the final poll to vote, vote, vote! Tokens, as usual, can be viewed in the voting thread.

Wow! I hope Blizzard start introducing Brawls, from time to time, that include community made cards like those. Some of them look pretty cool to play with!
Use whatever art you want for the competitions, as long as it isen't offensive.
Using art from other games is perfectly fine, but try to refrain from using offensive symbols like swastikas and the likes.
Awesome!
I also strongly suggest using the Discussion thread. There is a ton of nice people (and a few less nice people) that will gladly help you with potential flavor, wording or balance issues.
It may be just me, but some of these cards seems to strong
Loyal Companion is just to strong compare Enchanted Raven atleast make it 2/1 stats
The totems have eyes : you have cards that can generate totems id change it to
"0 mana give 2 of your totems 3/4" or simply change the mana cost from 0 to 2
Love Potion Trap : WTF 2 mana mind control -_- change text "take control till your opponents next turn ,like Potion of Madness but you can steal any minion regardless of stats and it can have TAUNT or END of Turn effect that you can benefit from even in your opponents turn
Me go Face :Like this spell implies hunter archytpes are mostly very agrresive your in a sence giving Hunter 0 cost Mass Dispel without the card draw, Hunter's Mark was 0 mana removal in a sence and it got nerfed to 1 this effects all enemy minions so to speak since it will be used as a FINISHER,I know its arena but damn its still to strong make it cost from 0--->2 mana
Arbiter of Victory i really like this card but only as a RARE or higher it can be overwhelming playing against a pally with 4 of these in the deck
Forge weapon: compare this to Upgrade! , it does the same thing + with 1 extra mana its discover a weapon ,Having both effects in 1 cards is strong.Id suggest discover a weapon and give it +0/1
Divine Inspiration small change : randomly givine divine shield to 2 of your minions ,paladin has a few cards that can flood the board and its overwhelming to affect so many tokens
Veteran Shooter remove the battlecry :as it is if you play it at 7 mana your hero power will deal 4 dmg so if you just hero power from there on by turn 10 you will have done 15dmg atleast if it was killed next turn if it survived 2 its 17 the scalling is to fast and needs to be reduced
All in all great cards my favorate being Kidnap and Arbiter of Victory
The cards were intentionally made overpowered, to compliment the idea of the Arena Exclusive events. If we made them decently balanced, they would be unlikely to actually influence the Arena Metagame.
I know Loyal Companion would be the most broken shit ever, if it was ever allowed in constructed. But it kinda solves some of the problems that Hunter in arena faces.
@Lathy.
I mean, it is a directly stronger Vaporize, but the flavor and design is amazing.
And balance should (imo) be totally disgregarded in this specific competition, as long as it isen't completely out of reach. Like a 1 Mana card that makes all your cards cost (0).
Thanks Tox. I get what you're saying, but I don't agree 100 % ;) This effect occurs AFTER your hero takes damage, unlike Vaporize. This was done to enhance the "story of the card", but also for balance. You can't negate it if you're low on health.
No its not , your comparing it to Mirror Entity while the other guy is comparing it to Vaporize
The damage is neglectable since your palying a deck that wants to rush you down as fast as possible and wants full board control
Now put both effects together you both get a copy of the same minion and his minion dies thats the broken down version of this 2 mana card.
I'm with you on the Loyal Companion Stats, but a 2/1 feels super vulnerable to Mage, Druid, and Rogue, so being an Enchanted Raven with upside is okay thanks to arena.
I want Me Go Face! in constructed, lul. Deal with all these pesky cheaters and their voiddaddies, goddamnit !
Good job to everyone, as this was a difficult prompt to work around, I had some difficulty with it myself. I'm really liking the Siege Destroyer btw, good work on that.
Veteran Shooter should have been worded as "Your next hero power" it confuses like how it exists.
Hell, I think Kidnap could be a regular set card. I like it.
Exactly what do you mean by 'regular set card'? The reason I ask is because
In arena, it has more uses. Removal is rarer in arena. Sometimes, removing a buffed up minion for 8 mana is worth it. This can remove a giant taunt off the board and allow you to go face for lethal. 8 mana is still a high price, but more worth paying in arena than constructed.
Outside of the arena, this card sucks. 8 mana is too high of a cost for a situationally good effect. Sure it would be awesome to kidnap a Voidlord or a Lich King, but what would you do against an aggressive deck? Are you willing to pay 8 mana to kidnap a buffed up Warleader? The best target to kidnap against Murloc Paladin would be Tarim. Even then, it's difficult to use that Tarim against the paladin. Drop it at the wrong time, and you'll end up buffing their minions. Any deck that uses synergistic minions like Inner Fire Priest would give you minions that are useless to you. Draconid Operative is just stats if you don't have a dragon in hand.
Waiting for the inevitable comments about "HearthPwn going to shit" and "Get Fan Created Content off the homepage" from FrodoBagginYa.
Not everyone needs to enjoy every piece of content the site puts out. I know the Esports related articles only entertain a small fragment of our audience but people understand how to skip over stuff they don't care about.
I apologize that the Hearthstone team very rarely gives us stuff that's actually newsworthy about the game, believe me, I wish they were more active like during the beta and early release days. Due to that, sometimes it feels like there's too much of one type of content on the homepage but believe me when I say it, nothing has changed. We've remained pretty static with our "usual articles" for a while now so people can come to expect certain things on certain days. Outside of that, the Blizzard stuff is posted when it makes sense to and then we sometimes get extra stuff we get to share with everyone.
I try my best to space content out so people can read everything if they choose to and not feel absolutely bombarded. It's also important that stuff is staggered so we get people coming back and most importantly hitting multiple timezones so people globally have a reason to check the site again.
Things are going to pick up like crazy when the reveals start next week, and then decks will actually be interesting again so we won't have tons of hateful comments about there being not much innovation and that'll give us extra content to share again.
Good luck to all our finalists from this past week. There's some interesting cards, though we have a severe lack of Pepe.
i usually dont look at community created cards because its usually a bunch of nonsense. but after seeing some of these i hope a few of them will be implemented in the future in some way. kidnap, amber drop, and loyal companion are all cards id love to see made in the game, even for ladder games.
also shoutout to u and the rest of the staff for dealing with the aids community of hearthstone and constantly updating this website, its the only way i stay up to date on the game when i have downtime from playing :)
