Deck Spotlight: Handlock Returns!
StanCifka is back with another deck guide to teach you how to better yourself at Hearthstone. Today we're playing the old school Handlock with cards the new kids brought us. You can find mulligan information below and the deck itself but for more info, head on over to the guide.

Mulligan Guide
No matter who you play against you want to keep Possessed Lackey, he is just that good.
Versus aggro you want cheap cards, everything except Dark Pact is good, and Hellfire is also solid. Keeping Lesser Amethyst Spellstone is also an option, especially if you already have Kobold Librarian ready. Versus control, you want Mountain Giant and Rin, the First Disciple as well as aforementioned Possessed Lackey, and mulligan everything else.

Posted Jan 3, 2018 (Kobolds Patch)He's a pro-level player that actually publishes his own decks on HearthPwn rather than the community doing so. I've not seen too many more pros post decks, the occasional, one from Firebat. People might not always agree with his decks but at least he has the prestige to be promoted in such a way. I rather enjoy his work.

But as I asked at first, I don't believe it is just a way to publish his decks here because of his prestige and as expected there must be some kind of 'agreement' as Kraphomus mentioned. Everybody has it's own favourite pro which would like to see here, not only StanCifka :)

Posted Jan 3, 2018 (Kobolds Patch)I think cutting anything for Talderam would be suboptimal, since you don`t really want 3/3 giants or Voidlords. May be good against Cubelocks or by copying Rin.. But I dunno if is really worth it

Posted Jan 3, 2018 (Kobolds Patch)handlock was about cheating a big minion (drake/mountain) turn 4 vs control and aoe and taunts vs aggro. this deck does the same but you can argue thats also the gameplan for control warlock.

Posted Jan 3, 2018 (Kobolds Patch)To be fair, the deck has 42/66 in demon stats with Rin, the First Disciple and the 2 Voidlord. Does help that the hero power from Bloodreaver Gul'dan is absolutely insane.

It's more: New cards always do new things. Or very often. And Rin is definetely not power creep. Just a minion that is doing something totally new.
Power creep is when you take something and upgrade it without adding any downsides.

Posted Jan 3, 2018 (Kobolds Patch)I disagree. None of the Standard decks today would stand a chance against Huntertaker pre-nerf, Oil Rogue pre-nerf, Patron Warrior pre-nerf, Aggro-Shaman pre-nerf or Quest Rogue pre-nerf.
