Does the spells trigger by the order you play them or randomly. For example if you played kings then dinosize does kings trigger first or is it random
It's confirmed that it's random.
Nope, toast already tried and it is in the order you played
I think this card is pretty good. In my opinion, silence isn't much of a threat for a few main reasons.
1) there's always Adaptation. There's a chance to get a stealth, & can't be targeted by spells or hero power which lowers the chances of getting silenced.
2) why silence if you can kill it? a lot of decks don't play silence because most of the times, it still leaves a large body that they need to get rid of.
3) there's 9 classes in the game! unless there's a lot of cards in a number of the 9 classes that definitely needs to be silenced without leaving a large minion on the board, people would rather just use hard removal. I would at least.
4) it's a nice bait for your more important cards such as The Lich King, Tirion Fordring, Ragnaros, Lightlord, Galvadon, even Doomsayer.
I think the ooze weapons removals would be seen a LOT more than silence this expansion...and there's only 30 cards in a deck ;). i think Lynessa Sunsorrow would slip in the meta for paladin just fine :)
I really want to silence Spikeridged Steed or Tirion Fordring because of their deathrattles...
I agree with you, but for the purpose of debate:
1. Adaptation doesn't help against Mass Dispel.
2. Um.
OPopie pls nref not upd8 Kappa
I feel as though most of the people evaluating this card aren't considering how much you gain from pally buff spells. In the not-so-far-fetched situation that previously in the game you've played adaptation and spikeridged plus a Dinosize, with a little rng, and the spells getting applied in the right order, (However that works.) this becomes a 7 mana 12/16 Taunt with your choice of Stealth or Can't be targeted, (Failing that, some stats or something.) that summons a 2/6 Taunt on death. Feel free to throw into the mix your choice of Desperate Stand, Blessing of Wisdom, Seal of Champions/Hand of Protection for synergy with Desperate, Silvermoon Portal and Blessed Champion for additional, uh... "value"? "Customisation"?
Also, don't let me leave without pointing out the tasty meme that is playing Hammer of Wrath, not only wasting it's damage but actively hitting your own minions to then also deal damage to Lynessa to make her draw a card on battlecry. Same could be accomplished with Wrath .2, or Lay on Hands if you want to waste healing instead of damage. (For much greater reward. Except for fatigue. Of course.) Perhaps this could be a legitimate strategy in a Pally deck in which you really want to draw a lot. You'd maybe already have one or more of the aforementioned in the deck, so not *that* farfetched. Possibly a variation of death knight Paladin?
We already have a paladin spell that makes a minion untargetable by spells. It's called Adaptation. Even if you don't get it, it could still become stealth as a 1 turn can't be targeted, at the cost of spikeridged's taunt if applicable.Even failing that, you still get some kind of buff from it, and adaptation's a general good enough card to play even without the legendary.
This card is not such a bad as it seems. I guess Blessing of Kings x2 + Spikeridged Steed x2 in a deck will be pretty enough for normal value (at least 7-mana 9/9 or 7/11, 5/13 with taunt - or even more...). But in real life until Bonemare exists - it will be better than Lynessa Sunsorrow in most case scenarios. Anyway if I'll get it from packs I definetely will try it in 4-buffs pally deck (some kind of midrange more likely), and won't dust it. But and I won't craft it myself for sure.
No, don't. That deck is MASSIVELY vulnerable to silence and removal effects and it's weak against aggro. This card won't change that.
Can anyone enlighten me as to how this will work with hand buffs?
I believe that Smuggler's Run wont trigger on this card, because it's not a spell that was directly casted at a minion but at a hand. And rest of the hand buffs definetly won't trigger as they are not spells.
I honestly fail to see why people think this is not good.
It's essentially a third Spikeridged Steed for one more mana, potentially better even stronger. Spikeridged Steed sees play even if it essentially is 6 mana do nothing if it gets silenced.
The only down side is that you can't play this card as a standalone.
Anyhow, this card will become a Paladin staple in any control decks.
Now with Call to Arms it is much easier to pull the low mana cards ( or Loot Hoarder) out of your deck and "guarantee" a perfect curve.
True, although we are writing right now with a deck with only two Spikeridged Steed, AND I was careful to place emphasis on a control style deck.
All I am saying is that it isn't worst than Spikeridged Steed in long games. It's even better because when you draw it you don't quite need a body like a buff card needs, which let's you do a lot more stuff with your turn than hero powering and then casting a buff.
Don't forget, we are only talking about Lynessa Sunsorrow 's viability with only a single Spikeridged Steed casted prior.
There are a lot of buffs that might see play because of her. Recently even Blessing of Wisdom has started to make an appearance in midrange / control decks.
I can see the flaw you are perceiving but I honestly don't think it will affect her amount of play.
Hopefully we get to see another Paladin buff this expansion to complement her.
Im assuming you were ironic about the 4 cost minion pull curve... except maybe when you need Doomsayer
He means that you can pull the rest of your small minions to draw you 5-10 curve.
I like how blizzard is always trying to buff archetypes that did not work out whet it was released, warlock quest already got help due to Cataclysm and now this looks like direct buff for paladin quest.
Was never exist to welcome it back:)
