New Paladin Card Reveal: Lesser Pearl Spellstone
A new Paladin card has been revealed by Sung0.
A previous version of this article stated this card was named Lesser Fluffy Spellstone and had incorrect tokens. The correct tokens upgrade the Taunt minion to 4/4 and 6/6.

Seems OK, maybe. At very worst, it's a 2/2 for 2, which isn't something you'd normally put in your deck, but it's not completely terrible. In the right deck, this seems solid.
Many of the other Spellstones have "lesser" versions you'd never consider using, like 7 mana for a minor effect, or which depends on a board. This is better than that.
2/2's are easy to remove in constructed with clearers but in arena this card for 2 mana can be very effective
Did you realize that the card can be upgraded?
Paladin have enough big taunt and heal already. It need draw power, it not much better than hunter in term off draw power now. Need Solem sigil like card, not this, although this one is a good card, but doesnt do much to make controk paladin more viable.
I'm pretty sure most players understand how bad this card really is. The last thing Paladin needed was another card that creates a taunt. Not to mention you need to get this in your opening hand with some other cards to even make it work. Terrible design.
Question is: does Paladin need more valuable taunts?
How would you accomodate this card in your deck?
Definitely a good card, but not sure it will find its way in strongly synergic decks.
First Ruby, now Pearl spellstone
Hearthstone first moxes...?
Have black lotus as neutral kappa
Do we know how this card interacts with healing from your opponents side? Or with mistress of Mixtures?
So it's possible that this card can be played by Turn Five? Looks like it's the strongest Spellstone of the set.
If you take enough damage and use stuff like Corpsetaker, Truesilver Champion, Wickerflame Burnbristle, Benevolent Djinn, Chillblade Champion, then yes.
Don't forget Earthen Ring Farseer and Mistress of Mixtures as well, with Happy Ghoul to synergize with all of the early heals. If Paladin can consistently pull this off we're going to see people avoiding hitting Paladins in the face in the first few turns like they used to with Grim Patron Warrior to avoid giving them healing targets.
Okay, now that's a LOT more balanced, because it only gives 1 at a time, and in order for Paladin to pull it off early game, he'll have to run either Chillblade Champion or Holy Light, and 1 of those kinda sucks.
Paladin also got a new minion 3 mana 2/4 restore 3 health to your hero at the end of the turn so they will likely get more ways to trigger this
Wickerflame Burnbristle and Truesilver Champion are enough for you to fully upgrade it up to T5. A redempted Wickerflame and you having 22 health will make you able to play it on T4
I forgot about those.
Both of these only heal 2 points per use, whereas this thing needs 3. Does it accumulate, or does it have to be 3 heal all at once?
If you attack with Truesilver while you are at 28 hp, you will get to 30. The card will now say ''Heal 1 to upgrade''. Then on your next swing (if you lost health) it will upgrade to the next level. So yes it accumulates, but the extra health won't be transfered to the next upgrade.
is this confirmed? i was wondering if you needed a full 3 heal, or if they could be seperate?
The main question here is: if all heroes and minions are at full health, after you play any healing that does 3 or more, will it still be upgraded?
