I think "Greed is Good" should have been called "Time is Money, Friend" :)
It's from the gold/wood cheat in the original Warcraft 3
So very appropriate actually
Very cool cards
You know what they should do to make the final voting process more efficient? They should introduce priority votes, so that the ones you vote for first will get more votes than ones you vote for in later order. That way, it doesn't reward for voting for all the finalists. Then they could turn the tally system into a point-based one resembling golf, where the lowest score (because they're getting the #1 votes) is the winner.
I really like Selective Harvest and Chain Lighting, very cool ideas ; there are versatiles but driven by player decision and with a cost.
"Misha, where are you?"
Opponent: legion of huffers + hero power = 28 + 2 = lethal
You: - "Oh, hi Mark!"
A card that at one extreme is a 4/4 Taunt for 6 and at the other extreme gives you 1 Leokk and 6 Huffers for 30 damage with Charge--truly the proper amount of variance for Hearthstone.
it also kills your own minions to chain so it isn't that overpowered
I think it's just not well worded... It chains ONLY on minion(s) right on the opposite side of it.
If you your opponent have a full board and you control only a totem, if you target a minion on the far right, there'll be no opposite minion on it to chain the spell. If you target the minion right on the center, then it'll chain to you totem, and then chain it again on both minions on center of your opponent's board, which are the ones opposite to it now, after that it will end since you dont control any more minions to be on the oposite side.
That's actually quite a cool spell, that makes positioning against shaman very important... Not sure if the cost is right, though. It destroys your minions, sure, but your opponent will get the bitter side of the deal always.
I think it's just a typo error
It should halve the damage dealt to the next minion, to stay in flavor, and also to mitigate the effect.
This is correct. If you play this card with Fandral on the board then you will draw and discard your deck. The easy solution to that is just not to play this card with Fandral on the board. There unfortunately wasn't a way to accomplish this effect without Fandral causing you to discard the deck. But I don't think Fandral makes this card "broken" because you have complete control over whether you play this with Fandral and if you make that mistake then you end up punishing yourself, not your opponent. And you would only make that mistake once.
But the criticism is fair and the interaction with Fandral is definitely something I struggled with when designing the card. (The original version was just a choice between "keep" and "discard and redraw" but "keep" was changed to cost reduction so Fandral wouldn't break the game)
Please comment on the card idea outside of the contest (was too late to submit). I don't know how to play with mana cost to be balanced :) my idea is 7-8
It's a Warlock spell
Ultimate Dis-card-ation
DIscard 5 cards. Draw 5 cards. If you have more cards in the deck than your opponent, cast this again
What am I missing with Merciless Casting? Besides summoning a minion that costs more than 7...whats the point?
I suppose it's to destroy all your low cost deathrattle minions and summon a big one
i guess you can summon and hatch eggs too
Deathrattles?
I don't get Malchezar, what does he do?
If you play a spell from your hand (after he is played), it is cast twice. E.g. If you cast a Hellfire, it casts a second one right after.
