Smuggling the Good Stuff - Handbuff Paladin with StanCifka
Stan is back with another deck guide to teach you how to better yourself at Hearthstone. Today we're getting insight into a Handbuff Paladin deck, a deck which makes heavy use of cards from the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan expansion and has some great new options thanks to Knights of the Frozen Throne.
The dust cost of this beast may scare you at first, but there's a lot of familiar faces so you may already have most of the tools you need in order to pilot this effectively. If not, there are a couple of tweaks available in the guide.
You can follow StanCifka on Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
General Gameplan
This deck is capable of creating a wide board with some big minions very soon, which you do thanks to abusing all the possible buffs. It is also the best core for Prince Keleseth himself, as you get much more of his ability then the normal deck.
However, you really need to work on your sequencing, this deck is not trying to play Curvestone as you know it. Instead you often don’t play your minions for a while, just setting up your hand with buffs and Sword of Justice. Once you are ready to go, you just slam your huge minions on turn 4 or 5, creating a massive board and taking control of the game from there.

Do we really need more decks on ladder with Prince Keleseth? What's next, Priest and Mage? It will come down to who draws their Prince first.
Why are stancifka's unoriginal decks the only decks featured by this website? Seriously, I made this post the last time they did this, and they just keep doing it.

All I did was scroll through the hearthpwn news articles and these are literally the only posts that feature a pro players deck in the title and they are all his, and most of them aren't even original to Stancifka. Its actually insane the level of bias, and there has to be an explanation, because this is getting really dumb. I mean, the decks aren't bad, but its not like he made them, and nobody else is getting featured at all. What about the other pros?
The decks don't necessarily have to be originally by him, but if he spends the time to write up a nice guide and includes some example video content, it makes for a nice article. Once he builds up a reputation for high quality content, then it's an easy first stop to look for some new decks. Of course it shouldn't mean that lesser-known players don't get a chance to get featured, but you should feel free to suggest some guides you think are really well-written to the mods on the site! They are busy writing up all kinds of articles including gathering all those tournament decklists, so it's pretty easy to overlook things.
Because Stan’s the Man.
Thanks LOK, wouldn'h have said it any better. I am not trying to take all the credit for making all these decks from scratch, but I did tweak all of them and these are final versions, and even 2 cards can a make huhe difference.
What about other pros? They are not exactly lining up to write free deck guides. But I really like sharing my thought process here as deckbuilding is by far my favorite part of the game, and I also feel like I should give back to community that has given so much to me.
Alright, but imagine if you invented a toaster that irons your shirts one day and then you look on to hearthpwn and find an article called "Stancifka's Toaster That Irons Your Shirts and Pants!". You might think, hmm this dude isn't a genius he just rides other people's ideas and get credit for it.
You can head down to the car dealership to buy an old Toyota, or Stancifka's Old Toyota with a hubcap replaced with Elise the Trailblazer and a big article and video about how to drive it.
For deck-building being your favorite part of the game, I don't see too many decks from you with original thoughts...
Maybe try building a deck that's actually fun and original and not just your usual meta ladder climber snorefest and people would be less annoyed and tired of always seeing your boring meta deck-techs that we've known about since expansion release.
Well to be fair, no one said he invented the archetype. He did take the time to playtest it and come up with a final version and write up a detailed guide, unless you'd prefer fewer detailed guides highlighted on the site as an alternative. His status as a pro does add more prominence and credibility to his content and I'm sure Hearthpwn would be more than pleased to spotlight other articles/guides of similar standard by pros as it will only boost site traffic. They've even highlighted well-done guides by regular users in the past.
And no one is asking you to worship him as a genius or an incredible innovator.
Is this really a new concept, though?
