Oktoberbrawl has Begun! Two Exclusive New Card Backs Available via Twitch Prime
Hearthstone's Oktoberbrawl event featuring six community-favourite streamers has begun! Part of the event includes two new card backs available through Twitch Prime which help you show your support for one of the two teams competing in the event. Want to show your support? Simply equip the card back for the team you love!
If you're a Twitch Prime member, you can head on over to the redemption page to add the card backs to your account.
- It should also be noted that in November, Twitch Prime is going to be giving away a "Special Card Pack".
- In January, Twitch Prime members will receive 2 card packs.
What is Oktoberbrawl?
- Oktoberbrawl is a special event featuring 6 pro players split up into 2 teams.
- Each pro creates a fresh Hearthstone account to use during the event period.
- Twitch Prime members can redeem two new card backs for their account which each belong to one of the teams.
- Support a team by equipping one of the two card backs.
- Each time you win a ranked game with that card back equipped, you help your team get a chance to open more card packs for the week.
- These card packs are for the pros playing, not you. The only freebies for us normies during this event are the card backs.
- The pros are not allowed to purchase anything in-game for real money.

is there a place to view there collections/decks?
Wow I'm probably the only one who still receives error messages while trying to enable Twitch Prime..
'Oh no! We can't enable Twitch Prime on your account. There was an error. Please try again in a moment.'
I have real credit card and euros on it. Also I made Amazon account, linked everything and still after 3 days same message is showing up..
Set a fake address in the US. The error is because your location is not in the US. Just use a fake address generator. I had the same problem and this fixed it. You can change it back later if you want.
Love the card backs...
Can we rename Team Light? I suggest "Awesome Allie & Team Salt" ;)
For Brazilians:
This is how I managed to get Twitch Prime Trial to work in Brazil, without an US credit card and confirmed address, and without using any illegal or shady methods that could get you in trouble. It is actually pretty easy. It may work for other countries too, I have no idea. Let me know if it does, it may help others.
A few considerations, first:
1 - Don't try using Amazon Prime, or Amazon Prime Trials, which you may have for a US based Amazon account. Amazon doesn't verify credit card billing addresses, but Twitch does, so unless you have a credit card issued in the US and whose billing address is also in the US, it will not work.
2 - Unlike Amazon Prime, Twitch Prime is available pretty much worldwide. So you do not need any fake addresses or other shenanigans to get this to work. Unless you're in Mexico and a few other countries. In that case, I believe you are out of luck.
3 - Do not use a VPN. It does absolutely nothing in your favor, Twitch simply sees straight through it and even delivers you localized content (in Portuguese, with local ads, etc.). My best guess is that they pull Google's data about you, which includes your place of residence and, most likely, even your GPS data with your current location. Yes, I also think this is creepy - better not to think about it.
4 - To get Twitch Prime, even just the trial, you will need an international credit card. There is no going around this, you must have one or their system will simply not be interested in you. Yes, it can be your dad's card. Just make sure to have it with you, as you will need all the information it contains, not just the main number.
Ok, so here's what you want to do:
- Log into your Amazon account, if you have one, and go to Your Account page. There, you will find a box called "Other Accounts", where there is a link which reads "Twitch Account Settings". Click that. Surprising, I know.
- In the Twitch Account Settings page, check if your Twitch account/username is currently linked to that Amazon account. If it is, unlink it. There is literally only one button, you can't mess this up. If there is no information, go to the next step.
- Back in the Your Account page, look for the option Payment Options. It is huge, you must be blind to miss it. And in case you are blind... well, congratulations on being a Hearthstone player - provide me evidence and I'll do my best to buy you a beer.
- In the Payment Options page (remember, still at Amazon), you will need to have a registered credit card, and make sure that the billing address is correct. It must be the REAL billing address, otherwise this will all be for nothing and I will punch your throat. This is what you needed your dad's card for, and I really, really hope you also have your dad's address, otherwise this will suddenly be a very awkward moment.
- Log off your Amazon account and feel free to do whatever you want with this tab/window. No porn, though. You dad's credit card can only take so much.
OK, you're done with Amazon for now.
- On a different tab, log into your Twitch account. On the upper right corner, use the dropdown menu to reach the Settings page. Once there, click on the tab "Connections".
- Since you're a fast learner, I'm sure you already guessed: check and see if your Amazon account is linked to your Twitch account on Twitch. If it is, unlink them. Don't be scared, there are more buttons this time, but it is still pretty easy not to miss a click.
- Now, make sure you have signed off of your Amazon account, refresh your Twitch page, and click the huge "TRY PRIME" link you will see on the top banner. It should take you to a page asking if you have an Amazon Prime or Prime Video account. You will tell it you don't, even if that is not true. I understand if you might feel uncomfortable lying, but I promise you it will not only do Twitch no harm, it may actually give it some money. Just do as I say, damnit, everyone lies. Dr. House says so, and he's really smart.
- A page promoting Twitch Prime, with a huge video on the top which your browser probably blocked from loading, will appear. It should look like a bunch of descriptions of the perks of Prime on the left side and a dropdown menu with a purple button underneath it on the right side. Now, this is important: make sure that, from that dropdown menu, the selected country is "Other Parts of the World". Yes, I know that is not the name of a country, don't be a smartass, just be sure that there is no country flag above that purple button, only a tiny and poorly designed little globe. Then, click the purple button. Goddamnit, fine, here's a screenshot:
- That will take you to an Amazon login page. Simply log in using the same account you were using before. If you use another account, I will be very disappointed.
- Once logged into Amazon, you will see a beautiful purple "Sign in" button. All you have to do now is sign in with your Twitch account, confirm your payment information (the one we talked about you not using for porn), which should be the same you saved to your Amazon account before and... DONE! You now have one week of free Twitch Prime! Yay!
* Protip: you also get one week of Prime Video. You should totally watch Westworld.
Anyhow, hope this is helpful to anyone, even though it will most likely be buried under thousands of comments asking how to solve this very issue. No worries, I've been using the Internet since 1995, I know how things go.
If you need any further assistance, please look for someone else. I'm a grumpy dude and writing this took, like, an hour. And if you're a Brazilian citizen and want me to make a version of this post in Portuguese, the answer is: "go learn some English, it is important for your career and so easy it is almost stupid" (and I'm also curious as to how you got this far).
Have a nice one! ;)
So what is the end goal of this event? What are the teams competing about and how do they win?
The end goal of this event is for Twitch to make money. That's it.
Don't forget promoting Wild, which needs more players, apparently. But, hey, 2 cardbacks are 2 cardbacks... =P
Good thing I haven't used my Amazon Prime Student yet :D
Is there a friendly soul who would like to write a detailed step-by-step list on how to get Twitch Prime for an EU player (Denmark)?
Kind regards <3
1.Get a Amazon Account
2.Buy Amazonprime (~60€/Year)
3.Connect Your Amazon Account with your Twitch Account
4. Now you have Twitch Prime
Alternative step 2: you can get Prime Video account - 3euro/month. Other steps are the same.
Why ~60€/Year? I'm paying 19.99€/Year
I am in Ukraine and it shows me 99$ a year. Nice marketing Dansgame
