How do Nerfs add synergy to your arena draft I'm confused?  

Well imagine this your first two picks are cards that are suposed to give you synergy cards the ones that are better with combination of others like elementals, now this you get some suposed cards that can trigger synergy like draw or something similar but after you are done with first two you literaly dont see a single card in draft that could synergy with your first set picks, that is what they want to change (remove whatever they do hopefully will improve the state of arena) and make runs more consistent give better players some edge not just luck factor to dictate how will your run end.

Did I miss something? What are synergy picks?

The first two picks in Arena consist of specific cards that are supposedly good to build your deck around.

A misleading and poorly implicated idea by blizzard.

Why aren't they just relocating the synergy picks to the end. So you built your deck and can then choose which synergy card fits your deck best. I do agree though that it is horrible to pick a synergy card at the start and afterwards you have no chance of activating it.

I never understood these synergy picks. Often it's not the synergy cards you want early on, it's their katalysts. You don't want turn 1 Netherspite Historian or Nightbane Templar, you want a dragon. You don't want a turn 1 Ethereal Arcanist, you want a secret. You don't want Meanstreet Marshal or Primalfin Champion, you want a good buff.

People don't draft the synergy cards unless they're good cards on their own, like Drakonid Operative or really easy to pull off like Unbound Elemental.

I mostly play constructed,but I like playing Arena when I get bored of seeing the same decks over and over again,so I like this change.Arena is supposed to be something different than constructed,but all these synergy picks and newest cards being more common stuff made it boring for me..it was like playing constructed with bad decks!In my opinion removing synergy picks is a step to the right direction.

most of my arena run, i havent any good synergy picks, but i met enemy with full dragon or elemental or deathratle decks  and once i met priest full elemental + dragon dec, really nice synergy picking arena style

synergy picks is only first two picks (you can find a list of cards that can be in 1-2 pick,and most of the time there is 0 synergy between them), and thats it - a lot of people like you have no idea how it works and complaining - atleast synergy pick is truly terrible thing.

"full dragon or elemental" just means they draft good deck its not about synergy picks mechanic.

As a mage, it is very likely that your first pick be Frost Lich Jaina WITH the synergy picks. Now that they're removed, you'll see shittier stuff...

Frost Lich Jaina isn't a real synergy pick imho due to the fact that you can generate Elementals yourself through the hero power.

I like the idea of synergy picks; I just disagree with what cards they thought were synergistic (they put all the activated cards despite the activators being the important ones).

I'd like to see them bring it back with one list of activators and another of activated ... and then offer once from each list but also at random times.

Now I won't be able to consistently get a Devilsaur Egg, damn you Blizz

Good.  Can you remove Standard from Arena now?

nah they just need to put in Wild arena, standard arena definitely has its advantages and it's a lot easier to control/read ur opponent whereas wild would be way more RNG dependent but more fun since there's like a ton more combinations due to the bigger card pool
