Mana Spring Totem Removed, Card Clarifications, Emote Wrap-up
Update: Zeriyah has issued a correction to Illidan's health.
Originally posted by Blizzard (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)Whoops! I had made a little mistake in the blog post. Illidan actually reads: For 6 mana, Illidan is a 7/6 minion that has the ability: “Whenever you play a card, summon a 2/1 Flame of Azzinoth.”
Sorry for the confusion!

Card updates: We’re constantly tweaking cards to get them just right. Here are some highlights of cards that have recently gotten a facelift:
- Vaporize now triggers when an enemy minion attacks your hero.
- Illidan Stormrage redesigned—you may want to grab some fire resistance gear for this change. For 6 mana, Illidan is a 7/7 minion that has the ability: “Whenever you use your Hero Power, summon two 2/1 Flames of Azzinoth.”
- Onyxia has a new power: “Battlecry: Summon 1/1 Whelps until your side of the battlefield is full.” Many whelps! Handle it!
- Mind Vision now costs 1 mana and copies a card from your opponent’s hand.
- Mind Control Tech has lost his mind and has built a new, more polished one. His new power reads: “Battlecry: If your opponent has 4 or more minions, gain control of one at random.

It's probably because her hero power is equip a weapon which means theoretically she is the only the class you can have a weapon all the time. But I agree she needs an epic weapon. I think the current weapon classes need more weapons, I really like the weapon style approach to duels.
Gold is the new currency, and we gain experience through battles to level up our heroes? That's some interesting design choices. The Gold as currency will make it easier to balance the gains from winning, as they can now you give you enough gold for 1,5 packs in a week, instead of 1 or 2.Will also make buying packs less obvious. You don't spend 20$ to buy 20 packs, you spend your 50 gold coins that you bought for 20$. Minor difference, but it helps people spend money more easily. Also reinforces the RPG part of the game of course. :D
The experience bit is slightly puzzeling. It might mean they are doing the game introduction a bit different then we expected. This sounds more like you choose a hero and level it, and not just unlock all the heroes in a short tutorial. Might not be such a bad idea, although it does lock you in more to 1 hero (at least at the start). Slower access to the full arsenal of a hero will mean switching heroes to play with is going to be a more complicated thing, much like switching mains in WoW is. Much to consider with this. I hope they'll give us some more insight about all this soon.
Well I sure hope it wont take a week to farm 1,5 pack :D EDIT: I'd say this was changed, so the ones who lose the game still get some reward for playing.
Btw, I think (and hope) that the leveling system will only mean, that if you like and play a lot with a class, then you get some cards as you level up (eliminationg the frustration when you cant get key cards for a hero), but if you open packs regularly, then you can still just pick another hero, and make the same decks as a lvl 80 paladin.
Yeah 1,5 is just an assgrab example, I hope it's more then that too :)
Amazing changes. Can't wait to try these new cards. MCT change is nice. It is viable and can be powerful without being OP like before. Note that it no longer trades places, so when you play it you get to keep the 3/3 and also you steal a minion of your opponent. So even if he has not very powerful minions on the field, when you play him it's like gaining 3 minions: 1 minion is the MCT, your opponent lost a minion and you gained a minion.
Beast card is nice, but can be silenced. In any case, I think other classes have better higher cost minions such as the earth elemental or druid cards.
Illidan Stormrage for the win, LOL.
Illidan Stormrage and Onyxia WTF
They are replacing the terrible removal that Onyxia had in the previous version.
Illidan's Battlecry was subpar compared to the other legendaries.
Wow I'm so psyched these are all amazing :D Gonna be able to make a warrior thats really focused on shielding now :D And mind vision was so impractical at that cost it's way better now :D Mindcontrol tech is much better and less op now :D I wonder what's next to come
