Pedantic time: Great Britain isn't a country. The country is The United Kingdom.
Great Britain is the geographical name for the largest island in the British Ilses.

What?
'The United Kingdom' is the (correct) name of the country. Whether it's a kingdom or not makes no different to its sovereignty as a nation.
Not all kingdoms are counties and not all countries are kindoms but being a kingdom doesn't stop it being a country. 'The United Kingdom' is the name of a country that just so happens to also be a kingdom.
Well, in spanish we call United Kingdom as sovereign state, and England, Wales and Scotland as the countries. You are either wrong or country has not the same meaning as in spanish.
True
The United Kingdom is the entity reconised by the UN as the sovereign state. But in English this would also be called a country. The confusion comes because the UK is a weird case. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are considered from a British point of view as 4 distinct countries. These make up the UK which is essentially a Country of Contries i.e. The main Sovereign entity encompassing all 4 countries.
The point still stands that the term "Great Britain" isn't political but geographical.
and in English a generic 'kingdom' doesn't have to be a country but 'The United Kingdom' is a country.
Just like we would call Spain a country and simultaneously a sovereign nation.
