Thats basicly the counter for every lategame card
I think this card is bad without support. But hey, it looks like there's a piano behind his name (right out of view) and he's playing it, so he's got that going for him. Also, WHAT KIND OF FRICKEN DINOSAUR IS HE?!?!?! I CANNOT FIGURE THIS OUT!!! He has a head of a t-rex but waaaaaay to large of arms to be one! He front arms i think are legs actually, but then his hind legs are underneath him, not to his side like a crocodile, and I DONT KNOW OF ANY PREDATOR DINOS LIKE THAT ALL!! IS HE JUST A T-REX THAT HAS ONLY BICEP AND TRICEP DAYS??!?! WHAT IS HE???!??!
Needs taunt or something else...
Cmon make an effort blizz, your high cost legendaries are always unimpressive. Compare to what shadowverse just released.
Ok, I don't think that's a good card BUT think about something like:
Turn 7 -> The Curator who give to you Alexstrasza and TYRANTUS (without azure drake you don't have anymore dragon and you don't have any beast eighter).
Turn 8 -> Ancient of War or something
Turn 9 - Alexstrasza
Turn 10 - TYRANTUS.... maybe that's something?
Some kind of ramp, control druid? A deck that you could run Moonglade Portal and a lot of removal magic's? That's something?
you can't really make an control deck with druid, unless we get board clear and hard removal (which we probably don't get, because druid would become super op immidiately). what you really need for high cost minions as a druid is an immidiate effect, even more than with other classes, i'd argue. baron geddon, rag, deathwing, these kind of cards are playable, but a 10 mana card that does nothing? i don't think it's good, i even think it wouldn't be played in control warrior either.
I agree. This card is decent and will see play, particularly because Druid specializes in gimmick decks that can "cheat" out huge pulls much earlier than normal. This guy will be a staple in decks centered around Astral Communion, Madam Goya, Kun, Barnes, Y'shaarj, etc. However, he's not that exciting, but rather just a "win even more" in these already existing deck archetypes. Tyrantus is of no use to any other existing Druid playstyles, such as Jade, Token, or even Beast.
I think what has disappointed people (beyond the sub-par art) is that Druid hasn't been given anything game-changing so far this expansion (yet), and when we saw the "New Druid Legendary" headline, we were hoping to see something that would break the Jade Jade Jade game Druid is stuck in now. This card is definitely not something that will break that mold.
Totally agree with all points.
This is a card that might make sense depending on the meta - some classes will have a hard time dealing with a body like this; especially if the Druid can ramp into it pre-turn 10. If the meta favors those classes, this can give ramp Druid a chance to be a counter of sorts although not likely a tier 1 (leading to some understandable disappointment).
I like it.
400 arcane dust S2

Very strong against control. This card can't be removed by hard removal, and control decks rarely have the board to deal 12 damage to this. Decks like reno priest will lose immediately and almost unconditionally when this hits the board, especially if played on a near-empty board.
Very weak against midrange and aggro. This card sits dead in your hand for the first nine turns of the game, and it has no immediate impact when you do spend your entire turn 10 playing it. It will usually either burn a hole in your hand or be a win more card. If you can get away with playing a ten cost minion with no immediate impact against anything faster than approximately Renolock, you already won, and not because of this card.
That's what we want and need, right? Cards that pwn control while doing nothing against aggro, especially in Druid which already has Jade? Mmk, just checking.
Brawl with new 2/6.
That the Counter of EVERY minion in hs
Brawl + Corner Sentry or Whirlwhind + King Mosh man. CW may tun BGH too. Actually CW is the deck that have no problem with this minion.
or with dirty rat. you can also taunt up and chill and wait for your opponent to develop more and brawl afterwards. also paladin can simly aldor the guy, easy cheesy.
Its not that bad guys, its a pretty good late game card.
Make arena druid great again (but this sucks in constructed)
I've got the beast in my sights!
a big pile of ''status''
There is still no choose one cards for druid so I guess he will get a card like 2-mana Choose One - Adapt all friendly minions, or do something else and it can be usable with that big fat Tyrantus for ramp druid by using Innervate.
And It won't be a surprise if he gets the quest about choose one mechanic like quest: choose 7 options, reward: something, and also if Fandral Staghelm was the reward with better stats , it also would fit the quest's style. I wish Blizzard had that philosophy but ...
We already have a card which is "adapt your minions" and it is 4 mana. A 2 mana version with another option would be broken as all hell, no matter what the option was.
Make a certain number of choose one choices isn't a bad idea for a Druid quest. I'd prefer it be summon so many beasts, but while we now have two class beasts for Druid in this expansion, there isn't really any direct beast synergy yet, so probably not. But who knows? Only 4 cards down; a lot could change tomorrow.
