The HCT Championships Card Back Has Been Revealed!
The HSEsports Twitter account has revealed the Championship card back. Everyone attending the HCT Bahamas event next month, and those attenting future championships, will receive a copy. What do you think of it?
still is possible obtain this cardback?
Any1 knows were are next championships?
Nice artwork but useless for me as all VIP/exclusive/regional card backs. HS turns into a game for a dedicated community and not for the players. I gave up a while ago on collecting card backs since they continue producing more and more unachievable “rewards”. And card back collection was a reason why I played HS.
You get a card back at the end of every season if you get rank 20 and higher. And why play for the cardback when you can play for the cards?
I play TF2 for the hats, not the gameplay.
I agree.
I really enjoyed collecting card backs but after a while it came the "unachievable card backs", this let me down, I can't quit my job and travel to another continent just for a card back.
This card back it's only for this year Hct events? or it's a thing like the power core cardback?
TY, do u know if the blizzcon counts for this cardback?, i´m planning to a attenting next year.
Your second "attending" word is spelled incorrectly; you have spelled it, "attenting", not "attending".
You can thank me by getting me a copy of this card back - or a code for the tyrande priest hero that was only available for a blink of an eye. ;)
A nice looking solid cardback
Another card back I (in-theory) won't be able to get, so this does actually bother me a bit that there's no secondary way to earn it (ie. attending a paid live-stream of the event). I don't have the money (as a student) to travel / vacation with hundreds (or in this case - thousands) of dollars to earn something like this despite the fact that I really want to. As a collector it annoys me that this is one I'm likely not going to own and while it doesn't effect my playing of the game it's an aesthetic that I'd really like to have. I wish they would have made it available to everyone via paid livestream of the event and offered something else on top of the cardback to those that attended live.
That being said, I love the design and that it's universal and not only limited to the Bahamas.
I'll be sad every time I come up against someone with the cardback in a game but at the same time I'll get to admire it.
Honestly It's not that exciting looking when compared to many others that are/were easier to obtain.
I just don't understand why it's not Bahama's themed?
You can get it by attending other future championships too, and I assume they all won't be in Bahamas. So anyone really wanting this card back should probably call Ben Brode and let him know that your backyard would be the perfect venue for Spring Championships.
Your wallet's been...THUNDERSTRUCK!
And why not? If you love hearthstone and wouldn't mind some time on the beach (and can afford $300+) I'm sure some people would be happy to do it.
I'd rather not it be a prestige thing.
One of the things I enjoy about Hearthstone is collecting cards (slowly, it takes me a lot of time to earn packs and I can't just drop oodles and oodles of money on packs) and cardbacks and if there was one only exclusive to those who participated in championship games I'd be heartbroken. Many of us don't have the time or the money to invest in buying card packs upon card packs, and hours upon hours of game play. The people that enter tournaments like this play competitive for years and years and likely also make money off streams, etc. It would be really hard to obtain and only for specific people and usually those specific people are roughly the same ones each year. No one else would be able to obtain it.
I know I don't speak for everyone but I'd be pretty salty if Blizzard ever did this to it's player base.
Another unattainable, and therefore no one necessary thing.
OK I will say I really like this card back design and for everyone who does go to the champions, sure it's a nice gift to go along with the experience.
But as much as I like it, there is no way I would justify spending hundreds of pounds (dollars/euros etc.) just to get this card back. Yes it's nice, but not that nice.
