People will always say this game is all about RNG( not realizing that ALL card games involve RNG), yet we see the same players toping in these tournements every year...seems that skill is quite consistent
very boring Tour of this meta
It's cool to see an Israeli player in this tournament. I don't think I've seen any professional Israeli players yet.
If you are still looking for them, you can find Lifecoach's decklists here: http://www.hearthpwn.com/news/2230-hearthstone-championship-tour-europe-winter
Pavel didn't actually win yet. Posting results like that could confuse some and not realize those last two brackets are predictions.
he won yesterday, you just forgot tro watch till the end ^^
This has me confused, if Pavel won the whole thing, who else is going or did pavel just win the tournament for the weekend but all 4 have a second chance to try again in March?
These are the regional playoffs. The top four players will play in the winter championship in March together with the top four players from the Americas, Asia-Pacific and China. But even though the top four players will be moving on they still finished this tournament as well with Pavel as the winner.
I did make one mistake, which was to say Pavel is now the Winter Champion when i should have said European Winter Champion.
i think its that everyone in the semi-finals and above goes to the Bahamas while Pavel just won the tournament.
One of the biggest tournaments in the game, there are like 1000 cards by now, 30 fit in a deck, yet 2 of the pretty much exactly same decks (Jade Shaman and Pirate Warrior) are played by about all contestants.
This represents how the entire ladder has been since MsG launch. Blizzard after 4 months: "We believe Pirates are starting to become a problem"
Well no fucking shit sherlock, get your heads out of each other asses, admit it when you fuck up, and start making hotfixes instead of letting the game be unplayable for half a year.
lol @ heads in asses.
I personally didn't watch every match cause is something like playing ladder..
I don't know if the devs are really happy and satified with this current state of the game.
Anyways!Congratulations for Pavel who plays really good and prove himself to be a really good HS player despite the criticism.(luck also included in these games :) )
Let's look on the bright side guys. There were 2 decks that didn't have pirates or Reno.
Haha, if only. The jade shamans and miracle rogues had small time and patches in them.
Deleted my comment because I was being an asshole.
My Problem was we never saw Other Players besides the High Tier ones!
We had 10 Greeks (Wich most of them are High Vallued players) and saw None!
Lifecoach, Pavel, Sjow etc etc we saw tons of matches from them!
There are other people! And whoever tells me that they do that for Ratings.. NO no one would leave if you stream some other matches! And it;s going to be cool to see other players (Dont get it as a personal rants for not seeings greeks i am talking about everyone else also)
I hope it will be fixed in the Next European Qualifier! Also They need to fix their Programm! Venue's closing, multi dc's after Mulligan (that was fishy)
Despite that.. Grats to Pavel! He is defo not my favorite but.. He has it..
I agree with you, but yet i still wouldn't watch any less famous or non-streamers play in tournaments... If I watch tournaments, it's only because i know the players. Which is obviously why they only show them.
Although I'm not quite sure why Sjow is on that list. He has to be the least entertaining and / or charismatic streamer ever. Period.
Example
The sad thing is that almost all of the worst players won their quarterfinal. Sjow is a better player than Neirea. Prokovac and Anatkh both played well, but still lose thanks to the completely arbritary mechanisms of this game. The best game that illustrates just how shallow this game is, is the Neirea vs Pavel game, where every game is completely one sided. Another point is the Neirea vs Sjow game, where it's just rng that rewards the arguably poorer player the win in the mage mirror.
I am glad Reno soon is gone because it at least removes the biggest rng in the game. Pavel was extremely lucky in many games just because he had it in his hand on turn 6 versus many of his opponents.
