Our Card Design Competition Returns
We've been on break due to the holidays but our Card Design Competition is now back in full swing with Season 5! Nothing has really changed like we had at the start of Season 4, the schedule is the same, our topics will be varied, and we're very glad to be back.
Onto the first competition...
We're The Millers - Season 5 Competition #1
This week's card design competition submission phase is live and the theme is We're The Millers.
This weeks theme comes from Thelesis, whose "Meditate" keyword was the winner of our "Keyword Kerfuffle" competition.
Competition-Specific Restrictions
- Your card must thin your opponent's deck, such as by forcing them to draw from it (Example: Naturalize) or by pulling cards directly from it (Example: Deathlord).
- Alternatively, your card may instead benefit from your opponent having more cards in their hand, something that occurs quite often in Mill decks in Hearthstone. This could be more than a specific number (Example: Goblin Sapper) or a large number of cards in general (Example: Clockwork Giant).

Phylactery Lich

Battlecry: Add a Phylactery card to your hand. Each player draws a card.
Deathrattle: For each Phylactery card in your hand, shuffle a copy of Phylactery Lich into your library.
Phylactery cards would be zero mana spells with the following ability: Gain 1 life for each Phylactery Lich you have played this game.
Time Warper (3 mana 2/3) - deathrattle: At the start of your opponent's next turn, the draw phase is skipped.
Or alternatively the Fatigued Time Warper (5 mana 5/5) - Battlecry: At the start of your next turn, the draw phase is skipped.

Why is it called We're the Millers? Shouldn't there be testicle biting tarantulas and drug smuggling? I am very disappointed.
My idea would be a 2 cost card with 4 attack and 2 health that reads (your opponent will draw 2 cards at the start of each turn.) This is interesting because depending on the deck your opponent is playing they might want to let the card survive a round or two.

Goblin sapper and clockwork giant can't be examples of it, since they are based on your hand and not on your deck, right?
"Alternatively" is the keyword here. There's two separate ways to enter ;)
