Turn 2 Tunnel Trogg buffed, summon an 1/1 and you have an 2/2 weapon equipped, good card!
Finally a weapon that rivals fiery war ax for the 2 drop slot.
Wow, such balancing!
Finally a cheap jade card! Now just 1-2 more and we have a deck here. 2 mana for a 2/2 weapon that triggers your trogg and creates a 1/1 is not embarassing, but if it gets played it will be because unlike a normal weapon, topdecking this in the lategame is going to be AMAZING, so it stays relevant throughout the entire game, unlike many other cheap weapons.
Everyone complained about 4 mana 7/7 but in a control-y Jade Shaman this could be a 2 mana 7/7 with a weapon attached!
2 damage on weapon is clearly not enough to deal with anything, but opponent's face (hi, Glaivezooka), hence unplayable.
You don't really get Hearthstone, huh lol?
I appreciated how they revealed the card. Best card reveal yet. Not excited about the card, but would like to see more of the cards revealed in this broken down way. So much better than the boring and lazy here it is kind of thing where the presenter is clearly disappointed they didn't get to reveal the best card ever. LUL.
I really had a high hope this would be
roguepriest's weapon...In a world, where 2 attack for weapon is a good thing, even Piranhathrower can be OP weapon lol
Unless Shaman gets a new Jade Golem card that is meta defining I think its safe to say Jade Shaman wont see competetive play. I know a lot of people hate the class right now, but I still hope that we get some good control cards for Shaman and not just joke and bad Jade Golem cards.
I agree the main reason shaman is hated is because it's too good!! they should give them balanced cards to promote healthier decks, when you compare this to spirit claws it seems lacklustre, right? that's not because this weapon is bad but rather because spirit claws is too good, hell it's almost better than fiery war axe they should push these jade golems a further so shamans have something when totem golem and tunnel trogg rotate out
All three of jade golem shaman cards are actually pretty solid, and the legendary single handedly makes all other jade golem cards above curve in value (except for jade spirit which just sucks, if it were just a 3/3 it would be a solid card...). Time will tell if it is enough, but I wouldn't count it out because if you even reach 4/4 all jade golem cards are super strong.
Shaman did get a crazy heal card though so hat should be enough for control.
Yay early Golem card with weapon attached! This seems actually really good for Golem Shaman!
Overload isnt awful either. Only drawback is that you might not want to play it late game... but who knows? Summon a 7/7 Jade Golem and gain 2 attack still seems pretty okay to me.
I'm gonna go on a limb and say this card is bad. Shaman just has everyone shell shocked right now so people are just assuming most cards it gets are broken. However Spirit Claws is 9 damage for 1 mana and this card is 4 damage plus a 1/1 (if played on curve) for 3 mana. It's hard to play on curve because that means skipping totem golem for this. This card will most likely not see any constructed play.
Why not? So far Shamans have this decent weapon, a weak burn spell, and a big guy providing taunt, as well as the two faction cards.
That's 9 cards for Jade Shaman so far, one being a legendary (but do note, it gives two golems). If all works out, that's ten extra minions in the deck, from 1/1 to 10/10. So sure, the first Jades suck and are the most common to run into, but it's not like Midrange Shaman is begging for 30 card slots. That deck has so much room. Just drop 9 spells or weapons for the Jade Golem cards. It'll be a better match up versus Control, a worse matchup versus Aggro, and a slightly better match up versus other Midrange decks, because it's running more minions.
That's of course, an exaggeration, as the 2/3 for 4 mana isn't all that strong, but even adding in 7 cards (1/1 -> 8/8) is still really strong. I think alot of people are underestimating the Jade Golem mechanic.
This, unfortunately, is a really good point. The entire Jade Golem- archetype is going to be "terrible" unless it can be more effective than currently existing decks, and with Shaman and Druid (and Rogue to a certain degree) having good Standard-decks already, the Jade-cards, which by this point counts for around 2/3 of the card pool for those classes, will be completely obsolete and won't see any play whatsoever. At least Jinyu Waterspeaker is good by itself.
