Heroic Tavern Brawl Potentially Delayed Until After BlizzCon
Early last week, Ben Brode stated on Twitter that the Heroic Tavern Brawl would be coming out before BlizzCon. Tonight, thanks to an update from Ben himself, it seems that those plans have changed.
Quote from Ben BrodeIt was stated by @bdbrode that we'd see Heroic Brawl before BlizzCon. That means next week ;)
I'm not sure that's the case after all. #soon
Great, another extended period of the time for people to keep their panties in a bunch and complain on the forums.
Scared to send it out after the huge backlash, most likely.
It's a game mode for Streamers and very high end players. Most of the streamers are in the Blizzcon now so, How are they gonna release it now?
People seem to be confusing "Tournament" with "sale."
It's not a sale. It's a risk. A chance to spend your gold or cash to compete with something on the line.
You know, like a Poker or Magic tournament?
I don't still understand. For example Kripp has too much gold and has all cards. If he plays this, he will only lose money if he gets 1-5 wins. Also 50 packs will only give him dust. Other pro players who have +1000 gold that would play this would probably have the same problem.
They should leave original brawl as it is and add new heroic mode for those who want it.
Blizzard lies to us again u_u
I know I am in the minority, but I was actually a little disappointed the brawl wasn't this week. I was looking forward to watching and playing it. It would surely take away from other events though.
I will not be playing this mode because I do not plan to throw money away.
That said I am happy to miss 1 week of brawl for the pros/hardcore players to have some fun.
I do not believe this brawl to be anything other than a money grab but when you play everyday most of the day that wont bother you :)
you speak my thoughts friend, will be watching rather than playing this time.
the brawl is a ripp off and i hope that players will realize that asap and make blizzard change the prize/expected value relation.
maybe if you were good you wouldnt have to throw your money away :) take your complaints somewhere else :D
When the pros go 3-3 4-3 sometimes even less with constructed decks, you honestly think this is not wasting money.
When the only way to get your money back is by hitting 9 wins :P
Any gambler knows when something is just not worth it.
I had no problem missing a week and letting the pros have their fun but for anyone other than streamers this is a waste of money.
Good for you. No need to spoil the fun for those who want to play it.
I'm excited for it. The gold I earn from playing is free, I already have almost all of the cards and tavern brawl never appeals to me. This is the first week it actually seems exciting, regardless of the risk / reward.
They NEVER stated tavern brawl was for only casual players that want a free pack every week. I'm glad they are appealing to everyone, sit back and stop crying. A lot of people are going to enjoy this.
Hopefully they will postpone indefinitely
So? Don't like, then don't play. Simple as that.
Oh boohoo, after years of Blizzard focusing on the new and casual players, something comes out for the experienced, competitive players? That's ridiculous right?
And you don't need to be need rich to win in this brawl, in fact you only need one competitive deck. There are tons of players who don't have shit but saved and disenchanted everything for one competitive deck, so for them this is perfect aswell.
It's actually nothing like that. I cannot think of a worse analogy than comparing it to a lottery.
Love this brawl or hate it, at least use some cogent reasoning to base your criticism.
