Upcoming Content Announcement on November 4th
The BlizzCon 2016 schedule has been released and it looks like we've finally got confirmation we'll see an expansion announcement.
Hearthstone- What's Next
We’ve got some news to share on what’s coming just down the road in Hearthstone—join us!
This doesn't come as a huge surprise since Blizzard loves using BlizzCon as an expansion announcement platform, but it is nice to see confirmation! If you want to watch the panel you will need a BlizzCon virtual ticket, but don't worry if you don't want to shell out for it as we'll be covering it live here on HearthPwn!
The announcement is on Friday, November 4th, at 12:30 PM PDT. With only three weeks to go, what are you hoping for?

Speak for yourself.
I'd love to see more examples of good RNG cards, since I am a fan of RNG in the game and wish that it wasn't so (in many cases rightfully) hated.
I'm thinking immediately of more Discover cards, obviously, but other instances of RNG that are fair but still have an element of unpredictability to them would be great.
I'd love to see more Discover cards too, specially for Rogue and Hunter, so we can try to push more archetypes on each class.
I don't think having too many discover cards is healthy for the game. Too many discover cards makes it impossible to play around decks because you have no idea what the opponent has. It would be fine to have more cards like Ivory Knight though that gives the opponent a vague idea of what you picked.
I have useful data. GvG was released one month after Blizzcon 2014, on December 8, and League was released one week after BlizzCon 2015, on November 12 (both announcements being on Friday)
So we have two possible dates: the second week of November, and the second week of December of this year. We have exactly 1-2 months to gather the gold we need. Just playing the daily quest you can have at least 50 gold per day in average, and that's around 1500 gold or 3000 gold depending on the date, which I hope it will be in December.
Since it is going to be a 130+ cards expansion, it will most likely come out in early December, approx. a month after the announcement. they will need the rest of November to slowly reveal cards and then dump all at once near the release day, according to Hearthstone's tradition to OldGods, TGT, and GvG.
Yeah I think the same than you. Blizzard follow always the same patterns, is more likely to expect an announcment of an announcment israther than sudden surprieses. But I thought it was important to remember the others possibilities just in case something else happens. ;)
More low mana cards that decide the fate of the game if played on curved.
Blizzard should stop releasing cards that snowball and win you the game if it stays on board for more than one turn. *Thunderbluff Valiant I'm looking at you*. Sigh.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Blizzard say would be a theme for that year in which the sets would be based on?
So if it's the Year of the Kraken, does that mean the next set of cards will be based (possibly) on the sea/water (maybe naga tribe)? I could be looking into a bit much, especially knowing that Karazhan didn't really follow that theme.
Karazhan actually got a lot to do with the old Gods. Atiesh and C'Thun are related, under Karazhan was supposed to be an old God etc. etc.
I am voting for Emerald Dream tough. Like the party is over, you gonna rest and suddenly you are in the emerald dream xD
Well let's see Old God's was a bit dark and creepy i wanna se light and sun and really powerfull things coming up or maybe Pandaria because of Samuro has came to HOTS who knowes! :D
Alright boys this is gonna be a milestone for hearthstone! Whatever will be announced in 3 weeks, I hope those 10 cards are worth being announced for the first day. Otherwise, I will be very disappointed :(
- Less RNG
- Better balanced and more creative cards
- Less Aggro
- More playable cards
- New tribe(s) - UNDEAD being one of them. There are already a handful of undead cards. (would Sylvanas be an Elf or an Undead...)
Hooray! Announcement of an Announcement! Blizzard maintaining tradition. Here's to hoping we get cool new toys to play with. Nerf RNG and introduce some better (consistent) control cards please.
it would be awesome to watch this FeelsBadMan
they can use creative channels part of twitch...
