Daily Quests Fixed! The 50 and 60 Gold Quests Have Returned
A hotfix went out earlier to resolve an issue with daily quests in Hearthstone where players were unable to receive quests that were worth more than 40 gold.
Quote from BlizzardWe are aware of an issue where certain Quests are not correctly added to the random Quest pool. A hotfix will go out today to address this. The hotfix is now live!
In EU Region, 4 days in a row, in 3 different accounts; only 40 gold quests with reroll. I don't think this has been fixed.
and all the 80g quests blow and became in too much 40g quests xD WELL PLAYED BLIZZARD WELL PLAYED...Here smells like ''pay the adventure with your credit card''
U got no friends?... sorry about that
I got a 40 gold quest and rerolled into another 40 again, even after the hotfix. Let's see what's gonna happen tomorrow.
Day 2: still 40 gold quests.
Day 3: nothing has changed. I would say the first 2 days are just bad luck but 3 days in a row is too much.
So I have a question?? If the quest are 'randomly generated'....why was there a problem to be fixed with the 'higher gold pay out' quest???? Maybe they are not as "random" as they lead us to believe..........................
Last year I recorded a sample of 300 quests (first received and rerolls) across 2+ months and 2 accounts. I ended up getting a 40g quest 66% of the time. This was after the 50g quests were implemented (but before the "play a friend" quest of course) - so in sheer numbers there were fewer 40g quests than the other values combined. This indicates that 40g quests have always had an inflated roll chance vs the other values. Whether that inflation has increased? I don't know. I probably won't record another sample, but you're welcome to use my results as a baseline if you want to.
it's not that you have a higher chance to get a better reward(technically you do cause if you reroll a 40g quest you cant get the same quest again, but that is pretty small difference). I'll use dice as an example: Heres the game you roll a dice and try to get a 6 (so 1 out of 6) if it fails you can roll again (another 1 out of 6). your chance of getting a 6 on the first dice is about 17%, but if you fail you get to try again. So 83% of the time after the first dice you roll, you have to roll again having another 17% chance to get a 6. This comes out to about 31% (just trust me on that its hard to explain) of the time you will get a 6 from at least one dice. The chance isn't really better, but your given another try which increases your chance to end with a better then 40G quest
EU region.

Just switched from one 40-gold quest to another.
Still got 40 gold quest lol
indeed
Ugly practice, Blizzard.
It should also be noted that Blizzard has added more profitable quests over time - the 60 tavern brawl, the 50 for single classes, and the 80 friend quest. The gold landscape looks far better than it did at launch.
I dont know the exact number, but the avg gold per quest was more than 50 back when they added the 50g quests, i think avg was 52-53 before they added those. So they were actually bad for the players.
But you are right with the tavern brawl and friend quest ;)
ya and it depends on how much you value the 80 gold quest, cause technically it gives 160 gold in total, even though it's not all for you.
When you grow up you'll realize that people work in order to get money. Until then keep complaining about a free to play game kid.
