Top Decklists from SeatStory Cup V
This past weekend was home to yet another fantastic SeatStory Cup experience!
32 of Hearthstone's best competed for their share of $20,000 and to take home to title of champion. A few of the players have been kind enough to share their decklists and we've rounded up the decks for the top 4 players from SeatStory Cup!
Frodan's decks are also included, something about some interest surrounding them?
A big congratulations also goes out to LifeCoach who took on J4CKIECHAN in the finals and defeated him in an epic 4-3 series.

I kinda hate the fact that Yog sees so much competitive play...
It's literally just deciding the outcome of a professional game with a coin flip. How is Hearthstone ever going to be seen as an e-sport with shit like that?
It's not really a coin flip . As a general rule Yog will usually produce positive effects for the person playing it like clearing board and drawing cards and the effect gets bigger with the member of spells played .
There are some cases where he will win or lose the game by himself but this are rare occasions and are usually predictable . For example if the opponent is at a few hp, the board is clear and you play yog for 10+ spells it's almost guarantee that he will do some damage ending the game in your favor .
The reason Yogg is played in competitive decks is because it is the best card to play while playing from behind, meaning if you are behind on board control Yogg is the best card to play to catch back up. Even though his spells are random/rngesus that still doesn't change the fact that Yogg is the single best card to play from behind.
Just imagine 2 guys in the Hearthstone championship final of 2016. One of them is clearly playing better than the other and about to win the game. But the other guy plays Yog at the very last moment, gets crazy lucky, wins the game just because of that, gets crowned best Hearthstone player in the world and wins 100k or whatever.
It would give the Twitch audience some shits and giggles, but Hearthstone would lose it last few credits for being seen as an actual esport right at that very moment.
This tournament showed how rng based Hearthstone currently is, I'm not even talking about yog playes, just look at J4CKIECHAN's huge game changing topdecks throughout the tournament.
which exists in all card games that involves drawing.

I totally agree, Jackie deserved that win with his exotic Yogg coin flip RNG decks.
Wow what an coincidence, every single pro player suddenly decided that Onyxia isn't unplayable tier anymore and put him in at least one deck!
Nah just kidding. Seems like pro players are net-decking even harder than the rest of us.
Go Frodan! Sure he didn't make top 8, but he had his moment of glory going 6-0 with a deck way outside of the normal meta. I hope that inspires people to try something different.
It goes without saying but I'll say it anyway. No Priest decks. Of course.
Hey man someone's gotta say it. Priest needs a huge buff in the next expansion, like how they buffed shaman this time round.
That Dragon Warlock deck from J4CKIECHAN was insane !
Lifecoach had no refreshing deck . They were all tried and true archetypes .
