Update 1:00 AM EST: We can confirm a patch briefly hit the Hearthstone servers this morning. The update was broken and would not allow the game to launch and was reverted.
The Update this Morning
A patch briefly hit the Hearthstone servers around 12:30 AM this morning and was quickly reverted due to it not working. The following changes were datamined:
- Unity engine update from 5.1.3 to 5.1.4.
- Card back localization changes for Tauren and Thrall. They had the incorrect release dates previously.
- Standard 1vs1 game in Scenario.XML had the SourceFingerprint attribute changed.
Zeriyah had the following to say on reddit.
Quote from ZeriyahHey all, wanted to hop into this thread to let you know what's happening with this patch. This patch was intended to be a hotfix to address some recent outages in the Hearthstone service. However, an issue arose where some users that patched encountered an error and were unable to log in. We reverted the patch to avoid further issues.
Players that are unable to log in should either Scan and Repair or exit Hearthstone and allow it to patch again to address this issue.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Hearthstone Emotes in Overwatch!
Our beloved Hearthstone emotes have made it into Blizzard's newest title, Overwatch. There are four hero emotes present in Overwatch which are used as Sprays. Sprays are able to be placed on the map and just like in Hearthstone, these emotes can be used as a form of bad manners.
The emotes are available for 75 credits each, which can be earned by collecting duplicates of other cosmetic rewards. We aren't sure if there's going to be some kind of cross-game promotion going on with Hearthstone and Overwatch in the future that may lead to free unlocks, but that'd be pretty rad!
Check them out below and be sure to check out OverPwn.com for details on today's massive patch which included skins, a progression system, and hero balance changes.. among other things!
Deck Spotlight: Chaos Control Hunter v2
Kharan brings us his Chaos Control Hunter deck this evening which has taken him to Legend and to the top 100 last season. The deck runs Reno Jackson which makes it a deck of singletons to allow for "maximal versatility" and won't give you "the same useless card two times in [your] hand."
Mulligan for low cost defensive cards, play passive, and control that board until your opponent can't do anything else.
The deck will set you back 8740 dust, and requires quite a few cards out of adventures, especially The League of Explorers. Head on over to the deck guide to learn more about the card breakdown, mulligans, budget replacements, and some videos!

Worlds Beyond Warcraft Phase IV Voting
Phase four of our class design competition has entered the voting phase! In this phase, our 11 remaining competitors were asked to add to their custom class by outfitting them with Naxxramas, Goblins vs Gnomes, and Blackrock Mountain cards.
The top four from this phase of the competition will move on to phase five, the grand finals. Head on over to the poll topic to vote for the best classes to help us determine who will be moving on!
Keep up the good work, Hearthpwn!
I played one match with that hunter deck last night. Didn't have much play time. I lost to secret paladin, I had the board for a long time though. I ran out of gas around turn 9 or 10. The control tools worked well, Hunter just has so little card draw. Maybe I'll find room for a Flare.
They are selling the emotes in Overwath? :)
Please make hunter have a viable control deck
Dear Blizzard,
Here are the 3 changes that you can make that will make your proposed Standard changes better or atleast much more well received.
Other than that Standard seems great. Can't wait for the big slow down. Great that pre-GvG Hearthstone will be back. Just don't print more Boom/Shredder.
1. "You should have told your customers well in advance."
They told us over a month in advance. If you still want to buy those packs, you have plenty of time left to do so. What would offering GvG and Naxx for longer even do?
2. Not every card in the game can be, needs to be, or should be playable. Game design does not work like that. Here's a pair of great articles explaining this from MtG folks:

3. "Seems like there are a few cards that are just too unique to be lost to the sands of time."
There are not. You want anti-spell tech in place of Loatheb? There are plenty of other, different ways for them to achieve that with new expansion cards. Loatheb is not irreplaceable. No card is.
That feeling in a hunter deck when you get to hit the face after turn 10 :D
Great deck mate!
The Hearthstone emotes looks great! I wish I had acess to Beta.
Seriously? No savannah? Might aswell play renolock..
Why would we go and check massive patch notes on game vast majority of people here don't have access to?
+ its not interesting to watch someone play OW
A Hunter deck without Savannah? No, thanks.
I am still a bit puzzled about the correct use of Elise. If you pack your deck with legendaries wont the Golden Monkey just replace your selected legendaries with bad ones?
Its main purpose is to counter control decks via replacing irrevelevant in those matchups anti-aggro cards with potentially good (or at least unpredictable) legendaries in order to give you some finishing power.
Maybe I am just not good in the control vs. control matchup. I use Elise in a Zoo warlock deck to try and counter other aggro decks. Works decently but I lack card draw. Maybe I should put in Coldlight Oracle.
Very interesting deck, going to have to give it a go!
This is pretty awesome. Wish I could afford to create that deck.
