The Coin - Love it or Hate it?
A discussion has popped up on our forums regarding The Coin. The Coin is a card that is given to the player who goes second in a Hearthstone duel, on top of receiving four cards in their hand as opposed to the normal three. The Coin and the extra card have been said to be a way to help balance out the disadvantage the player who goes second has. What are your thoughts on The Coin?
I think it would be fine if the second player didn't also get an extra card. With the coin and a card advantage (especially with such a small starting hand), its overkill and gives an advantage to player 2.
I also think the 2nd player should only get only the coin and not a 4th card in addition to it.
I guess it all comes down to whether there actually is an advantage to going first. With 1 mana you usually can't do much of anything. You need to have 1 mana cards and be lucky enough to get one of them as one of your first 3 cards. I don't have beta so I don't know how often those things happen, but from the streams I've watched it seems like most players who go first do nothing and end their turn. So, what advantage is there really to overcome?
Seems like an OK idea i would prefer some mana advntage instead of a card but this would be too OP i guess :)
the idea is ok, but need to be forced on use at the turn u get it or something and should not count as a card to activates Rogue combos
I think that the coin should go to the second player but the second player should not also get another card (4+ the coin) it jsut seems to be a little much, if anything the 4th card (excluding the coin) should go to the first player so It gives them a better chance of doing something on the first turn (assuming they have 1 mana cost cards).
