League of Explorers: The Ruined City Boss Guides
Need some help with The Ruined City on Heroic difficulty? We've compiled some decks to help you out! The decks used for Heroic Difficulty can also be used on Normal difficulty with similar strategies.
If you've successfully defeated Heroic bosses with decks that aren't listed here, make sure you submit them with our deckbuilder!
- Categorize your deck as the Adventure type to choose which boss it is for.
- Remember to add a written guide to your deck to teach everyone how it works against the boss!

- Share your League of Explorers videos in our dedicated thread for it!
Lord Slitherspear
- You want board control, and you're going to need spells to get it.
- Each turn the Hungry Naga he summons gains an additional +1/+1 over the one before that.
- A one-turn-kill is one method of dealing with him.

Giantfin
- Mrglglgl MRGL! Hungry Crab is useful for the first time ever.
- Looks like board control is a theme in this week's wing, you're going to want to eliminate the Murlocs as quickly as possible.
- He draws 2 cards per turn, and has 50 cards in his deck, so don't expect to mill him any time soon.
- Turn 2 Doomsayer.

Lady Naz'jar
- You must get something out on turn 1. You need to also make sure you play something every turn.
- All her minions will get upgraded to a new random minion that costs 1 more mana than the previous one at the end of her turns. Don't let her flood the board.
- Unlike her, your minions just end up getting replaced with another one that costs the same amount of mana at the end of her turns.

Posted Dec 6, 2015 (Explorers)The giantfin on heroic gave me a lot of trouble, somehow managed to beat him playing druid with ton of removal cards and Innervate+Baron Geddon on turn 5, after that he basically stopped playing any cards.

Posted Dec 4, 2015 (Explorers)I found the suggestion to not try milling Giantfin to be very unhelpful since milling him is actually a very easy way to beat this encounter.

Posted Dec 6, 2015 (Explorers)Nice decks, but for Heroic Lady Naz'Jar, you incorrectly state that your minions get buffed - they don't (necessarily or even probably) on heroic. You guide seems perfect for Normal mode though :)

Posted Dec 9, 2015 (Explorers)Thanks, but what I meant is that your minions don't get that buff on Herioc, only on Normal. On Heroic your minions only get transformed to a same mana cost minion, not higher. Only Heroic Lady Naz'Jar's minions get transformed as a 1 higher mana cost minion - it's the key difference between the Heroic and Normal encounter :) Of course it's possible you get a BETTER same mana cost minion, but not as likely as in Normal where it turns into a 1-higher cost mana minion.

Beat Heroic Lord Slitherspear with Priest OTK (Heroic Lord Slitherspear - Mass Dispel Priest)
Has practically every silence card in the game, which is absolutely necessary to silence the Nagas so that you can buy time to buff Deathlord.
Beat Heroic Giantfin with WakerSumStone ... (LOE HEROIC - Giantfin - Easy freeze mage)
Turn 2 Doomsayer into Turn 3 Flamewaker is basically gg. Once you gain board control, play Summoning Stone into any of your AOE to seal the win.
Beat Heroic Lady Naz'jar with Druid ([Heroic]Lady Naz`jar (+VIDEO))
Turn 1 Innervate + Razorfen Hunter or Imp Master is the strongest play you can make. It gave me board control early, and I never gave it back.
