Nozdormu Jousting Bug Hotfixed
Blizzard has released a hotfix for the Nozdormu + Joust bug which was allowing players to force their opponent's to skip over their turn due to the Joust animation taking forever.
We've included a video of Kripparrian explaining and displaying the bug in this week's Tavern Brawl in addition to today's hotfixes.

Loot Crate September Contains 2 Hearthstone Items
As announced today on the official @PlayHearthstone Twitter, the previously announced September Loot Crate will contain two Hearthstone related items. They're running a code to save $3 off the cost of the crate if you checkout with the coupon code HEARTHSTONE.
If interested, you can order your own here.

Likewise for me when I play on my phone. My phone isn't exactly made for intense gaming. Hearthstone is playable, but playing is slower and everything lags a little. I remember the *one* time someone played Nozdormu on me while I was playing on my phone. I couldn't do anything. And the person wasn't abusing long animations or anything. (It was during the Unstable Portal tavern brawl.) Let's just say that I didn't play Hearthstone on my phone since.
Sure, this wasn't really a thing in constructed play meta or anything, but it nevertheless was a problematic card that could easily be abused. Joust has a long animation, but it was abusable in other ways too. I saw a stream with someone using Nozdormu in Grim Patron warrior one time and abusing this. It's less meta, but if he's able to pull it off, it's far more frustrating for the player on the receiving end, if you ask me.
It's one of the coolest animations on game, I believe!
There was a bug? Who plays Nozdormu...
Cheaters.
Do you know the difference between Cheaters and Exploiters?
Most people I play with don't like it, but it's a pretty decent brawl until turn 8 or so, then stagnates of boredom. Still cute doe.
So can we nerf Secret Paladins and Patron as well?
Please.
So basically he was cheating, thought he would.
Why would Blizzard nerf Norzdomo? I think the combo is stupid too but it's both halarious and Blizzard JUST stated they don't want to nerf cards and would rather release cards to counter decks currently rather than nerfing them to kill a deck. Couldn't they just release a counter card if it's a big problem? A 5 Mana 1/1 creature that makes all turns last 45 seconds or negates Norzdormo while in hand (sort of like bolvar but keeps turns long) could be a nice addition, I'd imagine that would be in line with blizzard releasing tools to counter decks.
I think the combo is still fun and will miss it even though in a way I'm glad it's nerfed but there are plenty of other much more powerful OTK combos so the fact that this particular one got nerfed makes absolutely no sense to me. As Kripp said its a combo based on a legendary so it's harder to pull off and offers as much counter play as patron warrior does (pretty much none when you have full mana). If blizzard would change the other OTK combos then I'd totally agree with the change but the inconsistency Blizzard has right now is just mind boggling. And the expansion JUST came out, they specifically just stated a few days ago changing cards and interactions right after an expansion isn't their philosophy. Why does a fun deck that isn't played in constructed at the top of the ladder (because it's inconsistent and not that powerful) nerfed and similar decks are left unchanged? O.o
Because Nozdormu isnt interacting with another card, it is reacting with hearthstone's handling of latency and giving the next player a whole lot less than 15 seconds.
If a card had the flavor text that ddos'd the opponent, it wouldnt be ok even if there was a card that protected your connection.
I dont even know if you're being serious. I hope not.
It's less a combo and more of an exploit created through a combination of the game's roping mechanic and how card animations occur indepentant of it and lock out the ability to queue up further actions until they've finished playing. It would be a combo if say after playing Nozdormu you played a 2/3 mana minion with a battlecry/joust effect that cut the other player's turn time in half but that is clearly not what is going on here with that play.
Do you think the LootCrate will have physical merchandise related to Hearthstone, or digital items that are redeemed in game? I might be interested if it gives you something like a pack, a hero skin or a certain golden card.
I know LootCrate usually gives physical stuff, but here's what I'm wondering. They said "Hearthstone items" but Hearthstone is just a TCG of the Warcraft universe. Unless they're giving you something like a physical Hearthstone deck or a Hearthstone pillow or something, why would they word it as such? They have given out digital download codes in the past.
There are only a very view digitally things that could be in the loot crate you really want:
- a code for X packs
- a code for Dalaran Flame Card Back (probably not, because bind to TeSPA)
- a code for Golden Celebration aka Chinese Card Back (probably not, because acquired with a high level finish in approved eSports events)
- a code for Power Core Card Back (probably not, because acquired in participating or watching Hearthstone tournaments and not yet visible in the game client)
more likely it will be some stuff you can find here:

If the loot crate would really have only one of these 3 card backs I'd sign up on their site for the next full year ;-)
Realistically I will save this money, the loot crate will never ever contain it.
I did craft a golden Nozdormu, just to honor him for creating a "divine intervention" with a hotfix.
I don't get that one. Can someone explain how you could see that?
It was available in game logs maybe, and stupid "deck tracker" mods could see it I think.
Pen and paper huh?
I think it's a deck tracker thing. When I joust with deck tracker it will display the card that they drew in the section of cards they played.
Is that Nozdormu trick considered as a glitch or is that really how its played? :/
The game is meant to be played with each player having their turn where they can act. Watching Kripps video or the other one with Noz and Youthful Brewmasters would show you that the decks intention is to exploit the programming.
Nozdormu only shortens the turn as intended, but animations counting as actual turn time past your own turn is the problem in this case.
