Deck Spotlight: TGT Legend Tempo Mage
Hello. In tonight's deck spotlight we're checking out KRUPSSTONE's TGT Tempo Mage deck, a new spin on his previous Tempo Mage deck. The deck is build around Flamewaker, which lets you gain super value from casting low cost spells. Since it's normal Tempo Mage, let's look at what is different.
- Arcane Blast - Same mana cost as Arcane Missiles, but no randomness. Lots of added value when played with Azure Drake.
- Effigy - Similar role as Mirror Entity, but you have some better control over what you get as far as mana cost is concerned.
- Rhonin - Allows you to hold onto a Flamewaker for late-game shenanigans with Rhonin's epic loots (Arcane Missiles).
The deck costs 8220 dust to craft, with the new TGT cards added to it taking up 2500 of that budget. Check out the deck below to start building right away or head on over to the deck guide to learn more.

ONOG Summer Circuit - PAX Prime Finals
The ONOG Summer Circuit Finals already started today but will be continuing on Saturday and Sunday. The event features a $25,000 prize pool and notable Hearthstone pros, Kolento, Trump, Tom60229, and Hoej.
You can tune into the stream on the OneNationOfGamers Twitch, which will be cast by Frodan and Monk, beginning at 1 PM EDT on Saturday, and 3 PM EDT on Sunday. More details are available in our event thread.
Tempo mage is too hit or miss for my taste.
I don't like playing against Tempo Mage, but it is fun to play with
What a boring deck to spotlight. Only 4 cards from the new set in a deck that will feel almost exactly like it did before TGT.
How about spotlighting a Taunt or Inspire deck. Oh wait, those decks suck, since Blizz went too soft on the minions. Sure doen't feel like anything is slowing down. Streamers were right, decks keep getting more effecient / faster. Tempo still rules the day.
Should put up something original, something new from the set, like Totem Shaman, Dragon Priest.
Maybe even Token Paladin although the Paladin Inspire minions are too weak so it probabaly won't work. They needed 1 more Health, why must Blizz always shit on the Paladin cards. With every expansion that we don't get early effecient removals and other classes contine to get more, it gets harder and harder for Paladin to maintain board, especaily when our minions are also weaker. On top of that most of our things are reactive, playing Paladin is like trying to get the stars to line up. Other classes have proactive moves and if you can't respond to them you lose. We have highly situational and mostly reactive cards and they always have weaker stats also.
Is this not the Paladin expansion? If Paladin isn't #1 like Grim Patron was for a few months, well then what the fuck. You failed us with Dragons in the last expansion. Now you fail us again, boost Warrior control to make sure it's at the top, yet Paladin control gets next to nothing. We don't get any early game minions. Once again the minions we get are weak on curve partly due to being once again understated. WTF. Our Legendary needs more stats, SHR needs a shift to more health, Murloc Knight needs more health. Do you guys take into account that all this shit must live a turn to actually do anything and we are always extremely weak to AoE. I mean you give Mage Flamewaker, and Warlock Imp Gang Boss, seemingly not giving a fuck about balance. Just watched a game where Flamerwaker went off, 16 damage in 1 turn. Why are you so afraid of Inspire when you don't give a fuck about Flamewaker. It's not like we can Hero Power 4 times a turn, to get that many activations. Why does Flamewaker have better stats, better text, and insane potential damage. What made you so scared to make the Paladin minions decent. What is the fear, we drop Silver Hand Regent and get 4 dudes with the Garrison Commander that won't be alive so it won't be able to happen anyways? OH NO world is ending. Can't let Paladin have 4 dudes.
It's not too bad that Priest and Shaman got some major buffs. Quite happy for them. But really, we couldn't do the same for a new Inspire Paladin archtype? We coudn't give them Control either? Someone said it before TGT, "Ready for the underwhelming Paladin cards," I knew it was a joke but it was funny cause it's true, typical of what Paladin gets.
your post made you look super childish bro. Most of what you said was 100% false and without facts. Tempo Mage wasn't dominating last season, but it has a chance to rise this season. Inspire is not strong? Are you retarded? Try playing Nexus-Champion Saarad, and when you do, please get back to me, this is one of the most OP cards in the entire set.
How is Paladin being shit on? Its running running rampant on ladder right now. Dude seriously, research facts before posting stuff. I stopped reading at that point.
3 sets in and the only spell power card pros use is still Azure Drake
It's a strong deck and I agree completely with arcane blast instead of arcane missiles, never lucky with the missiles. :'(
I'm not sure if it's an upgrade for a previous tempo mage. Will have to try it as soon as I craft/open Arcane Blast. I actually really liked Mirror Image/Arcane Missiles set for it's AoE and stale possibilities.
Why does that deck have 2 Arcane blasts if it doesn't have any spell damage minions?
Uh, best re-read the deck list. Azure Drakes.
Nice deck.
Of all the things to spotlight now, it's just the upgraded Tempo Mage lol. Well it was proven to work before we had any proof in the first place.
Except it has to hit a minion, so late game it doesn't have value as a finisher. I think it's a neat design space it occupies with that limitation and its higher upside with support cards.
i have to admit, i bought BRM only because of Flamewaker^^
but dragons are maybe in coming, so BRM somehow just got better
