I am having fun and success with a lot of new cards, new decks and ancient decks made better by new cards (quests, etc).

As always I don't care what the meta looks like, the actual game has much more to offer and I've made peace with the fact that 99% of my opponents are meta decks. That generally helps anyway, it's easier to play around netdeck than homebrew.

And what's wrong with decks that go face ?

     I like this mindset.

Although I disagree with the "what's wrong with going face"
It's actually not that I dissagree, it saddens me more than anything, since it should be obvious if you ever played any Face deck.

Face decks only aim to get a quick win. Card games traditionaly are more about making you think, develop a strategy, that will lead you to victory. What's the point of winning an uninteractive game where you put zero effort to ? People who play face decks usualy are SUPER happy even if they get a win because their opponent is AFK, or he just disconnected. Is it all about those sweet Ranks these days ?

If rank is what you crave , please by all means, let me feed you a few free wins every day and then get out of my way and let me play with people who actually want to play the game.

I don't expect Rush players to actually understand or support this post.
Most of them do not even have the ability to understand words like , development / strategy / thinking.
if you ask them they will probably tell you "those stuff are gay" and this will conclude their argument.
Well to be honest I am that guy who spend 60 minutes building a deck then play until it works as expected (in terms of winrate and consistency), then move on. Sometimes it just takes a couple games and I waste 80% of my time in the collection/deck builder but that's fine.
What I mean is that in my opinion, the thinking part is 80% deck building, 20% actual gameplay. And I don't hate building aggro decks, they are not easier to build than other decks and they don't get fast wins because I want to climb ladder quickly or something, they get fast wins because when I optimize and refine them, they just happen to be fast decks. But I fully support the idea that long games and control mirrors are the true side of Hearthstone where all the magic happens, as long as we don't go into OTK bullshit territory. You see ? You hate aggro I hate OTK :P but both are legit strategies and it's not fair to say these players are retarded just because they play archetype we don't like for whatever good/bad reason. Most people are retarded, wether they play aggro, control or hearthstone at all isn't relevant to their retardness.
I guess I'm saying that it's okay if you hate people, but please don't hate aggro decks, they're not responsible for your bad feelings. I'm sure you have faced jade druids or quest mages BMing you endlessly and winning the game just because they played cards, the same way face decks do.

I just sincearly wish we could have a more fun meta so I could come back.

Do you know what a meta is and why it exists ? How can one hope that it ever gets "fun" ?

You are in charge of your own fun with your own cards, the meta has nothing to do with it, 100% of your opponents are trying to kill you and end your fun asap and 99% of them are using the best strategy that currently exists, this is the meta.

It's kinda sad that so many people are frustrated by this game, they just look at it the wrong way and expect the opponents to delivers fun for them, that's just not going to happen in competitive environement.

    Voidlords are core, period.

I personally think Possessed Lackey is a stronger Tutor than Master Oakheart, since you can get him out way earlier, and a turn 5 or 6 Voidlord often wins the game against any aggro.

Rin is just a universal wincondition, if you don't have her you can try other (admittedly weaker) universal winconditions like N'Zoth, the Corruptor, Elise the Trailblazer or Marin the Fox.

Hell, you could even run an old handlock shell and just swap some cards for Possessed Lackey, Voidlord, and Dark Pact.

    That should still work well.

I'm running this core of possessed lackey, voidlord, dark pact.
I added N'zoth which essentially is a second DK and will summon 2 lackeys and 2-4 voilords. N'zoth is much better than Rin imo, and doesn't fuck up DK. Nobody runs weapon removal and if they do, they won't draw it half the time.
I also added Skull of the man'ari, sense demons and Doomguard. The skull is probably the most underrated card of the deck and carries it all. And dark pact only has one target in my deck yet saves me almost every game.
Anyway, I just wanted to say I agree, except for N'zoth being a weaker win con than Rin.

Well you cant really build a deck around it because it's a one of, and it doesn't fit into any existing decks so I guess it's not that great now.

     I really need downvotes...

Built a whole deck around it, it works surprisingly well especially considering dragon soul has been in the last 10 cards of my deck for the past 2 days. If I get the weapon early this is free win.

It's one of the strongest cards in the set, if not the whole game, it was underrated because of weapon removal

I beat the darkness with a stealth-many-girls-and-wyrms deck. I've been doing it wrong the first few times rerolling for spell power and mana reduction on spells. Turns out having many stealthed apprentices giving 1 mana reduction each is better than picking the passive

Yeah but when you fall behind and everything has stealth this is so frustrating to give free smorc to the AI.. Not picking stealth treasure ever again because of this

I wouldn't mind undertaker return as a non-hunter class card. Maybe priest or warlock.

But warsong commander? No thank you, I'd rather have some design space

Playing almost the same deck on standard, with cheat death instead of oil and the darkness instead of 1 auctioneer

Was thinking of converting this to standard, but was afraid the deck wouldn't have enough pressure and sustain in the long run without the oils. How has it been working out for you in standard?
     It's slower.. But it works.

I also have trouble with mage, the game always matches me against anti spell bosses on 6th or 7th fight, sometimes I have trouble with the warrior boss too, but I actually love it, this shit feels so much more interactive than ladder

you get op as heck passives and cards to compensate, also you can choose whats going to be in your deck, difficulty depends on your decvk building skill

Except some of the final boss can counter diffrent decks you can build a deck that will beat the darkness but will get rekt by azari it would have been nice to know who will you fight
Non-final bosses can counter you as well, that's part of the plan you know, otherwise it would be way too easy to build OP decks in this format

Azari, Dragon and Xol are basically free wins. Haven't seen Togwaggle yet. Darkness is insane if you don't have the right tools + good curve.

And no Azari vs control decks isn't difficult, he has a shit deck and no hero power. Just hard mulligan for treasures and removal.

I thought this..  activity was called "honest cards" or something.

The title is very misleading, I was expecting a moderator randomly ranting at text inconsistencies, very disappointed

Hey, we aren't all randomly chastising the decisions made by Blizz at every waking moment. Live a little! I'm sure you can relate to some of these ;)
I did however update the name to avoid further confusion
I wasn't really being serious, but thanks for the update anyway :)
