People begged and wept and prayed for something to counter the aggro decks of the previous meta and when they're giving a strong anti-aggro card they complain about it. Nothing is ever good enough...
The problem is that Blizzard gives this good tool in a class that is only countered by aggro decks. Even in control match-ups where you know you have to pressure jade druid because he's gonna win the late game, this card can give you two more turns to stall and build up your jade golems. It's very similar to Frost Nova
Druid has now everything he needs to beat down ALL classes: he can draw more cards than gul'dan, he has a decent amount of reach spells, he has an insane board presence and tools to counter aggro.
I still have hope for other priest cards. Make shadow priest great please. I am guessing a death knight priest should be related with shadow form.
Shadow priest great again? When was shadow priest great? Your comment made me react because I've wondered: mage has Arcanologist followed by Kirin Tor Mage. So he can play turn 2 a 2/3, turn 3 a 4/3 with a 0 cost secret. And then turn 4 Kabal Crystal Runner. Why is Blizzard not giving any incentive to play shadow priest? The inspire mechanism was kinda fine but it was just too slow to work.
As a priest main i say asap this card is garbage and won't see any competitive play, nor in standard neither in wild.
Why? Ask yourself why Prince Malchezaar see no play and you'll get your answer.
7 mana 4/6 that dilute your deck? No thank you. Fatigue? Elise Starseeker is better. In standard you cannot reach fatigue (hi pirate warrior and jade druid) anyway so it's a non-issue.
Totally agree with you. I thought they decided to give priest good legendaries after Lyra. But no... It's just trash and it's not even fun to play
I disagree with all people saying Flamewaker is a massive amount of RNG. Usually, when you play it, you calculate the percentage of a good outcome for you. As another said before, the problem of flamewaker is that he's just too strong. He has nearly vanilla stats for a 3 drop but also a devastating effect with all the cheap spells of the mage. That said, RNG is a nice feature when it's not winning you a game. Yogg saron pre and post nerf is unhealthy. It can win you a game on its own. The RNG inside the shaman hero power is totally fine. Actually, RNG is fine if the variance of the outcome is not too large. For example, the Moonglade Portal RNG is fine because you know that there is a high chance of having a good minion out of it.
RNG has the advantage of changing the outcome of each game, otherwise it's repetitive.
nah, like i said in the deck description, i prefer kodorider, more reliable plus it is easier to proc and combo with garrison (at 1 less mana), if raza hasn´t been played yet ... plus the body is better. i will try confessor, but right of the bat i´m feeling pessimistic ...
I've played reno shadow form a lot. Obviously I've tried Paletress but I have nearly always been disappointed of the outcome. Usually I've played her when I was already winning. On average, she does not summon a huge threat on the board.
1) the 5/4 body is ridiculous. Every class can deal with her easily.
2) The 7 mana slot is weird when combined with a hero power. If your hero power costs 0, it's better.
3) The outcome can be terrible
All in all, Ysera is far more useful, and it's a standard non-class legendary. Though, if you like to play with RNG, then she's okay.
I rather go back to undertaker hunter days than have a class like priest being top-tier. Priest is perfectly viable, try a good Dragon Priest list, you will be surprised over how well it actually performs (of course not tier 1, but it has power), but the class is just really underplayed at the moment. People usually go for the ol' control list (really inconsistent now since the departure of Zombie Chow and Belcher) and just immediately dismiss the class as unplayable and then demand blizzard to print Dr. Boom-tier cards for the Priest class.
You honestly can't say priest is viable right now. He has maybe three archetypes (spell priest, resurrect priest, dragon priest). Both of them are very inconsistent and they are tier 3 at most ! You claim dragon priest to be good but usually he suffers of a bad curve.
As another said before, I love priest but I would not like a priest meta. Though, if you think the priest playstyle is going to be accessible to everyone, you're wrong.

I can't stand freeze effects such as Blizzard and Frost Nova

I really like the Paladin DK. I hope a meta without murlocs will appear.

This card looks promising, or at least really fun to play. I'll definetely put this in my Reno wild deck

Compare this to Power Word: Tentacles

I've just opened a golden version of this card. Blizzard would like to thank me to play reno shadow priest for so long.

Why would any Priest complain? A 2-drop that is playable on turn 2, I'm in !
