Yup, manic soulcaster was pretty often run in reno mage. Now you can run it any reno deck, and its cheaper allowing for easier combos. This card is so good.
Exactly even if it's only obviously good in Control Paladin now, im positive people will find a use for it just like with Cube. And in wild it's gonna be really broken the more cards that are released.
I see what you mean, yeah generally those cards are regarded as sleepers. I guess the word i was looking for was something along the lines of underrated.
This card is actually ridiculous, maybe it's just me but i've seen no love for this card. It's an absolutely amazing card that will drastically limit design space, as now every class can go infinite or make a sick OTK (looking at you rogue, priest, paladin). It's a huge buff to control paladin because you can add more Zolas or brewmasters to your to deck with it, or a horseman, or tirion, etc. In priest it makes wild OTKs possible in probably a huge amount of ways, im personally looking at embrace darkness squashing OTK in wild. I love this card because it opens up entirely new lanes of decks that people might not discover for months, and yet I see very little appreciation for it. at 2 mana it's so aggressively costed that you can put it in any deck pretty much and get insane value with extreme flexibility depending on the matchup. I think this card will be gamebreakinig in some way; thoughts?
I think this expansion is far better than people give it credit for, Baleful Banker, Voodoo Doll, the OP warlock legendary, countess, and several other cards are insanely good. The mage legendary that copies your minions is with the book is ridiculously strong. So many people are bashing this set but I think its one of the most powerful expansions released.
Cubelock will probably reign supreme (they got so many tools, rat catcher is ridiculous) and i agree w OP art that combo deck. I can also see elemental mage in some form being alright, and aggro minion mage being very strong. Paladin's the glass knight is a really good card, warpath is insane and ring the bell is so much better than most think. I think the top decks will stay the same, except for dragon priest and and secret mage which died. Control mage loses ice block which really hurts, but the 4 mana discover a secret is really good value (1 mana 2/2 draw and play a secret of your choice). Hagatha is insane, if shaman is good enough which i think it will be. Baku in aggro or control paladin is ridiculous, same for hunter. Zoo got good cards, but we also got sleeper cards like the Rotten applebaum.
This expansion has loads of good cards and a large amount of extremely interesting cards, such as Glass Knight, the banker and voodoo, Nightmare Amalgam is one of the most exciting cards ever printed, it completely fills the hole in zoo paladin (in wild). This card will be instrumental to some decks, im sure of it. Definitely one of my favorite cards in the expo along with the 1 mana priest legendary and the banker- among so many other really cool cards. You can go infinite with zola on a banker who bankers zola etc, any deck can be fatigue warrior now.
I think this expansion will be excellent, and the fact that people are saying it's trash baffles me. Only downside is that there are like 40 or more cards you could put in cubelock, and ive already seen some very cool variations on the original deck. no clue why godfrey was printed.
so my predictions are thus: Cubelock still reigns supreme, some elemental or aggro mage will be tier 2 or even 1, lady in white priest could be insane, or mediocre. aggro paladin will still be good but less so, some variation w the secret card will probably emerge.
Now my more bold predictions are that zoo and control paladin have the potential to be insane, banker and zola with Uther of the ebon makes the combo much easier, and the all those void lords don't matter. if the midrange decks aren't good enough, I think this deck could be very dominant.
Because we care about the game. Hearthstone is free, but that doesn't reduce the passion people feel for the game. I personally love this game, and want to see it get better and more balanced. People complain because they're frustrated sometimes, but out of love for the game too.
Additionally as linkblade said, if we didn't blizzard would take advantage of us in every way they could, they want our money not our love lol.
So I've been experimenting with a zoo list that runs hungry crabs and blood knights to shore up the poor matchup vs Murlocs and dude pally, zoo is also pretty good against control decks due to it being faster, and running spell breaker and/or dragon slayer (although so far priest is the hardest matchup, followed by cube). Anyone have any thoughts on this? I climbed to rank 5 w a friend on his account with cubelock and dude paladin, and those decks are so prominent on ladder it makes sense to try and counter them. What are your thoughts one this zoo deck as an anti meta deck, that is teched against those decks?
Here's my list; I used to run double crab and blood knight but ive surprisingly rarely queued into paladin so now they're just 1 ofs, additionally I ran a single copy of defile because the card is busted, and since its 2 mana it can be an effective comeback card for zoo as you can play like, 2 one drops after if u T4 defile. Im most unsure about the Tar Creeper but it seems fine.
buff murloc paladin is insane, Grimscale Chum is exactly what the murloc deck needed, and the new buff cards like Smuggler's Run and Grimestreet Outfitter fit into the deck really well, and when you combine those buff's with the other murloc tribal buffs your board can get impossible to wipe with anything short of a twisting nether.
I only use one Meanstreet Marshal because i only have one. Im unsure if it's worth cutting a Smuggler's Run for one but that's what i'd cut. here's my list
ure wrong ... Control Warrior, for example, didn't get hit at all. The execute nerf hit Aggro Warrior WAY harder than control and since I counter Shaman with my spell heavy Control Warrior I don't care about that nerf at all.
I agree with all of those nerfs and I think the game will be at least a little bit more healthy when they hit. The only nerf I really don't like is Yogg.
1. I praise Yogg and I love it :D
2. The Yogg nerf is too much. Overload AND stop casting spells when he dies? One of those changes would have been sufficient ... imagine now feral spirit + elemental destruction ... 10 mana card clears the board and overloads for 7. Yogg is dead now, great unleash/buzzard nerf blizzard
Yogg was unhealthy for the game this was needed. Outplaying your opponent and lose to one card because you didn't manage to kill your opponent turn 10, it's fun the first few times then it gets old.
a nerf was unnecessary, a tournament ban was what people really wanted
all of these cards are extremely unhealthy for the game, and unfun to play against. as early as turn 2 the entire game can be decided by a Fiery Bat 50/50. These are great examples of cards that have bad RNG, as opposed to cards like Netherspite Historian which is an excellent form of RNG, because it doesn't affect the board state.
Lol, makes a list about cards that should've never been made, and doesn't include 4 mana 7/7. Is this a joke?
the 4 mana 7/7 isn't even that OP<,most pro players agree. it has a lot of answers in a lot of classes

insanely broke, double tirion would be gross, triple trogg would be disgusting, double deathwing, double reno, etc
