posted a message on Duels Runs Coming to an End - Blizzard Removing the Duels Game Mode In April

I have not played duels for a while, but I don't understand the need to remove it. They could just stop maintaining it if they don't want to put time into it, maybe warn players that this mode is not maintained with a popup.

I just wonder if it is intentional..

What does it give you whether it is, or it isn't? No need to make a post about some trifling crap

I know if I can expect it again in the future or if it was a mistake.. But move along if you don't care.

posted a message on This month Twist is great

I am really having a blast. So much that I am still bronze in standard and wild. It is really fun to play with the old cards again and I am looking forward to see what is next.

I don't know if I like the storebought decks, because I face them 90% of my games or so.

I would like Blizzard to not introduce new cards. A card like Eyestalk of C'Thun would not have been made back then. Its too powerful and if it had been made, then I seriously doubt that it would have had lifesteal and perhaps not even taunt.

We're cool. I just don't agree with you (that it is a bad ruleset).

Hearthstone is not meant to be a free-to-play game, its cool that some people can pull it of, but its meant to make a profit.

That you can buy a ready deck is cheaper, than buying packs (if you want a decent deck), so I think its very good, that blizzard gives players that option.

The only downside is that you face a lot of the same decks, which is something to consider for Blizzard.

If you are offered Southsea Busker in the first round consider this order

    1. buy it, but don't play it

    2. upgrade to tier2 and play it

    3. 6 gold and able to buy two minions or upgrade to tier3

If you don't like the format, then don't play it.

As someone with a complete collection I am thrilled to be able to play with older cards, that are not good in wild.

If Blizzard made the formats card available to everybody, then me and others like me would like our money back. I am a casual player, so I have never played enough to earn packs to get all the cards from the expansions. I have always bought the pre-order and packs on top of that, because I did not want to dust, because I wanted to have the cards, if they became useful again. Twist is just that, so thank you Blizzard!

That's a depressing way of looking at it.

It would not be bad for you if other players can play the game mode, it's just good for people who aren't you.

That is kinda like saying that it would be good for you if everyone else got free into a sporting event you paid for, because more people cheering will make the event more fun for you.

Not that they will but they could do what they do when they make the core set and make some cards available to all players while they're in the mode. It wouldn't cost you anything and it'd be good for the mode. I didn't mind when the core set made all the vanilla cards I'd crafted available to everyone.

They would need to give players at least the dust value of cards they own, if they give away said cards for free.. In my opinion.

Wasn't one of the problems with Classic that it was so underpopulated people mostly played against bots?

The problem was that it was the same few decks everyone played. With Twist you get a new meta every month.

The only people that making Hearthstone cheaper might negatively affect is Blizzard. If the mode's profitable in the long term then there's really no incentive for them to make it cheaper. If it's like Mercs and Classic and ultimately not enough people are playing for the mode to continue exist they'll probably throw the mode away like they did the other two rather than open it up to players who don't have the old sets.

    Which is also depressing.

As players can't we all agree it would be good if the game was cheaper and it's bad when it becomes more expensive?

I am all for making future expansions cheaper.

But we need to have in mind, that players spending money on hearthstone is needed for development.
