I would keep it if I needed a silence since I've gotten plenty of uses out of both modes...however, the Wild meta after WotOG released became so aggro (at least for the day or two I continued playing) that replacing it with a Wrath might be advisable.

Last month I strived for Rank 5 to get a golden epic, but sadly, my Beast Hunter, Battlecry Shaman, and Midrange Paladin collectively hit a roadblock at rank 7 and, amid a sea of frustration, bounced all the way back to Rank 11 by the time the season ended.

Well, this season was different.  I built a Control Hunter and a Token Druid, and together these decks carried me to rank 6--farther than ever before--each deck switching off to the other whenever it ran into a nest of bad matchups.  Got to Rank 6 and 4 stars on a win streak, just one win away, and...heartbreak!   On the back of a timely Azure Drake into Fan of Knives, which gutted my board, MalyRogue managed to hold me off and then slay me with Malygos' spell power, snapping my streak and setting me back to 3 wins to go.

Not to be deterred, I rebounded with wins over Zoolock and Control Warrior, then faced a Ramp Druid.  Only the second Ramp Druid I'd faced with Token Druid, and the first had killed me without a  fight due to a strong start with Innervate.  This game had a more modest beginning.  However, a pair of Swipes took a big chunk out of my board, but I reversed that when I promptly drew my good friend (whom I will miss dearly) Dr. Boom, which, after I played it this turn, threatened a next-turn lethal combined with my Savage Roar in hand.  Alas, among the 11 cards my opponent had drawn that game was his Big Game Hunter, so Boom fell.  I decided to Savage Roar anyway to get in damage while I could, and my opponent fell to 5 health.

The board was:  My Echoing Ooze, Dire Wolf Alpha, and two Boom Bots versus my opponent's Piloted Shredder and Big Game Hunter.  (Thankfully, with 30 health and 2 armor, I was not in combo range, even with those two minions on my opponent's board.)  My opponent traded Shredder into Dire Wolf and out popped...Vitality Totem, and with it any hope I had of depleting my opponent's last health before all my work was gradually undone, dissipated...

...Or not!  My opponent decided to cast Force of Nature and use it to clear my board, including my two Boom Bots.  Perhaps eager to get revenge for the unlucky (just over 1/3 chance) and untimely demise of their master, the Boom Bots ignored my opponent's minions and leapt over them to impact on his face, the first hitting for 3...and the second for 2.  Exact lethal.  The explosions of damage gave way to a fireworks display of victory, catapulting me into Rank 5 with 2 stars!

    Rank 5 proof

To cap it, I decided to relax with a game of Tavern Brawl as Rogue, in which I got to play and win with MalyRogue (despite not owning a Malygos.)

    MalyRogue

Now if I get golden Call of the Wild in my ranked reward chest on May 1, this will truly be an epic win.

posted a message on Idols of Azeroth - Tavern Brawl #45

Played as warlock, faced 3 mages and 1 warlock.  Lost to the first mage, beat the rest.  I got lucky that none of my opponents had any spell-synergy minions (except for a turn-5 Violet Teacher that died after making one 1/1).

Second mage thought she was a freeze mage, casting 3 Frost Novas, 2 Blizzards, a Cone of Cold, Frostbolt, and Ice Lance.  Annoying, but I just kept tapping and discovering minions and eventually she ran out of freezes.

Oddly, I keep seeing the second player do turn 1 Raven Idol->The Coin->Raven Idol, which I think is a mistake...you don't lose any mana by going Coin->Idol on a later turn as opposed to turn 1.  Keeping the Coin and an Idol lets you get a discover later, when you have more information about the game state, or use the Coin to accelerate out a big minion you've discovered, depending on the situation.  Not to mention it's all the better to still have them in hand if you discover a spell-synergy minion.

Overall, I think the brawl is fun, but I do realize the games go on a while, since spells = removal most of the time.

I've noticed some complaints about BMing here.

What if your opponent had one of the "cast spells", "destroy minions", "deal damage to enemy hero", or "play 2-drop or less"/"5-drop or more" quests?

Those are actually legitimate reasons to drag out a lethal.

Unlikely, yes, but I've done it before.

One of those cards that just SCREAMS "epic" with its very presence.  Up there with Bestial Wrath, Far Sight, Junkbot, and Poisoned Blade.  Who wouldn't spend 400 dust for a worse, costlier, situational version of a mechanic that appears on a Paladin common (Argent Protector)?  Not to mention the vibe of sheer power radiating off the art of some random girl feeding her unicorn thingy a carrot!

In all seriousness, I think I got good use out of her once, when I discovered her off a Jeweled Scarab immediately before sending my Savannah Highmane crashing into a Loatheb.
