I really liked the one they made for GvG with the rocket and the chamber and all that, but since then it seems less effort is being put into them. (Blackrock was also pretty nice)
This one I clicked everywhere like a madman and it doesn't seem to have all that much to be interacted with outside of a few plants and tentacles...
It's not a big deal but game board in HS have always been something I love and look forward to new ones and that one feel kinda botched.
This will be my second. Lots of fiddling to do but I can't wait. Trying to have a solid early/mid game to get to the big bombs if the game goes late. Should be fun!
First draft. I'll be testing it heavily and making proper adjustments. First thing that comes to mind is teching The Dark Knight if the meta become taunt heavy (which I think it will)
I'm going to craft all the golden cards I need for my Midrange Shaman deck.
Then the ones I need for Pally control, Then golden C'thun and his best neutral followers. I'll wait to see my fav class to play C'thun before crafting gold C'thun class cards.
Shaman hands down. I've been sitting on a Golden Shaman for over a year now and I hate face-shaman so it's been a loong time since I was able to climb ladder with it.
Already DEed most if Wild cards. Ive played MTG lobg enough to know what I want from a card game and the ever-changing meta is what I want. Wont play Wild. Ever. Thanks for all the dust!
Now that the whole set has been revealed, I think this logic can be seen applied to some card who have OK potential in the current standard but could be insane with future releases. Interesting to see where it all goes.
I'm personally glad that there's not a lot of "I have to have this card to be competitive" legendaries this time.
A huge difference between "must have" and interesting/fun/well designed. People like you are the reason they get away with tedious stuff like the new Mukla and Hogger. The problem isn't if they're bad or not, it's that they are AWFUL design wise
"People like you"? Who the fuck are you to judge people on what cards they like or don't like? Hearthstone isn't just for the tryhards who want nothing but competitive cards to compare dicks with other legend players. Lots of players are in it to play with friends with fun decks that use fun mechanics.
As for your comments on Mukla and Hogger, I have a feeling you'll be feeling preeeetty stupid when those appear in tier 1 decks that you'll probably end up netdecking.
Mukla is better then lots of people are giving him credit for. The Bananas in a deck that cares about spells are bonkers and even without that synergy, being able to trade effectively on the board is 90% of winning games and these two 1-mana spells help you do that in a very big way. I'd play it in certain decks for sure.
Overall I am happy about most Legendaries. I am also happy there is no "Dr. Boom" in this set. Having to auto-include 1 card in every single deck is boring.
OP, watch Kibler's review of nerfs and you'll understand why they nerfed it. And if you don't well what can I say, you don't get it. Move on with your life
I've just watched Kibler's review. Why do you think I opened this thread today instead of yesterday? I kinda agree that blade flurry limited some design space, and this card was maybe the reason why rogue didn't get anything too powerful related with weapons (the most important feature of the class, the only one that can get a weapon from hero power). It was painful since I loved the playstyle, but I consider myself a reasonable person and I accepted it.
But today, after seing the rest of the rogue set, I cannot see where are those cards that required blade flurry to be nerfed. Not only nerfed, but completely obliterated. No weapon buffs, no new weapons, no AoE to make up for the blade flurry, no heals to push for a control rogue (archetype that I'd hate btw because it doesn't fit the style of the whole class, looking at its cards). Rogues aren't getting ANYTHING. And for these people who say "oh, but C'Thun rogue might be a thing, a whole new archetype!" please stop. If C'Thun decks become viable, which we'll see and I doubt, rogue is probably the worst class for that to happen. It could be playable yeah, as a gimmicky tier 4 deck.
I can't stand being taking for a fool. It pisses me off. And that's what blizzard did with the blade flurry nerf. Now you bastards have that freaking design space you needed, so give us the cards you promised.
Dude, I'm a HUGE fan of rogue myself and even I know and accept that the card was busted as it was. The ability to clear board while hitting face with 7+ damage (with oil and spell dmg) twice per game is too much. Honestly they could have nerfed the ability alone and not the cost but either way I understand why it had to be done. Same reason why they nerfed the Druid combo or the Golem, they want to eliminate the Burst abilities when it's too much. They could have done more for other classes but I'm not about to complain about a card that I always thought was OP even when playing it myself. And all this is even without mentioning the whole design space argument.
Also, Rogues got some sweet cards in WOG. But this is a matter of opinion and if you really think they mostly got crap then discussing it wont do either of us any good. As a rogue player, I am super excited for the new meta and c an't wait to start tinkering new decks.

Food for thought.

Then control Pally with N'zoth
Then many C'thun decks

One card I think a lot of people are sleeping on is Nerubian Prophet. I just imagine him in midrange shaman and it can be bonkers.
If in opening hand it can be a turn 3 4/4, not bad at all.
Playing second? Imagine this:
Turn 1 Tunnel Trogg
Turn 2 Totem Golem
Turn 3 coin out Feral Spirit
Turn 4 Eternal Sentinel into Nerubian Prophet
Seems crazy unless opponent has brawl or Circle combo to clear all.
Can even keep it after a big board clear. Either way I think there are lots of ways to get a lot of value out of this minion.

I think C'thun Priest can beat FM (testing required). Control Pally with heals can also compete with it IMO.

I just want to see his death animation. Hope its cool. Also golden art should be sweet.
