2. The more older people become the more less they want to play the game with Hydrologist, Kara Kazham! and Tortollan Primalist, obviously appropriate more for 5-9 years old kids.
As I said earlier, it will survive, but not in the way we liked it in the past. It will more like mobile casual money-grabber, then real CCG.
Ah yes, you see, as a 28 year old, Hydrologist is just fine, but when I hit 30 I'll be all grown up, and heaven forbid I play a game with art like that, what will all the big kids think!?
Seriously son, this is not sound logic. Plenty of adults play this game, and I'm rather sure that few of them care about the card art enough for it to be a deterrent to playing. Also, generally speaking, adults are the ones with wallets big enough to support the game in the first place. . .
Still waiting for Top 2 repeat or new coop brawl, there was nothing interesting for so long time...
They can't repeat the top 2/3 brawl unless they ban Patches in it... (maybe Maelstrom Portal might have a chance against it though) EDIT: Southsea Captain, Patches and Gang Up would do well in top 3 anyway
Lol its not even patches anymore. Now its Jade Idol. RIP Top2/3
Please explain to me how Jade Idol would consistently beat Mechwarper / Metaltooth Leaper. With coin on turn 2 you can literally have a board of 6 minions with lethal next turn. The Jade Idol player would have a 1/1, a 2/2 and a 3/3 with more coming out on his turn. This wouldn't be enough to kill off all the leapers and mechwarpers. So, what am I missing here?
This isn't the first time I've seen Jade Idol referenced as if it would break top 2/3, but I don't see how it's any more degenerate than some of the combos that already exist.
Patches the Pirate could very likely be strong enough to break the brawl, but I could see counters coming into play that stop it dead, and thus everything else evens out. Cards like Whirlwind and Arcane Explosion would effectively limit his damage to 14 (without buffs).
All that said, the real point above anything else is this: since when does blizzard care about making broken brawls?
I have a question regarding the token (evolve + devolve) Shaman that seems to be very popular. I don't understand how this deck can ever win? I have currently not lost a single match against this deck (rank 7). Like, 10-0.
Personally, when I got to about the point you are at with the classic set, I started hoarding all my gold for future expansions. Essentially, for both Mean streets and Un'goro I purchased the pre-order, and had close to 10,000 gold to spend. This gave me around 150 packs for the new set. 150 packs will generally net you all commons, most of the rares, some epics, and (hopefully) a handful of epics. You will also end up with a bit of dust to go towards getting the important cards you missed.
Personally, I'm sitting on a bit of dust as well, since I generally just try to play as much as I can with the stuff I've opened. Then once the meta settles down a little, and I've had the chance to play different decks and play against different decks, I get a feel for what I might want to play more, and thus what is more important for me to craft.
While you could still make gains from getting classic packs (in terms of filling out your collection), the real question is how many of those missing commons and rares are game changers?
Furthermore, if you play the tavern brawl every week, then you can consider that by the end of the year, you'll get about 25 or so packs. This means that your need to spend the 3,000 on classic now is lessened, since you'll have gotten those packs from brawls soon enough.
Anyways, no one can really tell you how to spend your gold/dust, you just have to do what makes you happy. My personal recommendation is to save them up for the next expansion. It feels really nice to open 150 packs at once too!
Because it's a brawl. They make the rules however they want.
This isn't intended to give you a "pre-expansion" experience. If you notice, Azure Drake and the other hall of fame cards are not allowed for the brawl.
This brawl could be good but it sucks. Everyone hates playing as Kel Tuzad and leaves the match at the beginning.
Sadly, this is because the balance is terrible. Yes, you can win with Kel' thuzad, BUT it requires a lot more luck and good draws to compete with Rafaam. It's just not very fun to play one pre-made deck against another when one of them is notably worse than the other.
OMFG, lol. I don't know if your profile pic was the same prior to this, but his comment, and that profile pic as part of the response is just classic. You get the internet award today, sir.
Download this program called "innkeeper". There is a link to the site from the main nav bar, or just go to: http://www.innkeeper.com/. It runs in the background while you play hearthstone, and if your collection changes (open a pack, craft a card, disenchant a card) it will sync with your account here on hearthpwn. Then on your collection page here, you can see all those stats (to get to the collection page, click on your user name in the top left and you'll see the link for "Collection").
It has other features too, so you may want to check it out fully and see how else it can help you. Personally, I love it for the collection part of it.
