Aeris posted a message on Chaos RagerPosted in: Fan CreationsBetter make it 5/4.
That way you can powercreep not only Magma Rager and Ice Rager, but also Booty Bay Bodyguard and Evil Heckler (and a few others but who cares) with a single card, exactly what is going to happen in a few expensions, so why not start already. Hurray, new cards.

Trollbert posted a message on Is Cubelock Suffocating the Meta?Posted in: General DiscussionThis is a problem I think that doesn't have a clear solution, but Cubelock is stopping deck innovation. Between the Skull and the Lackeys it has some very effective ways to cheat out a large taunt wall. Much of the time it can pull the Voidlord, cube, and sack the cube on turn 6.
I have no problem with powerful decks. It's not even 100% the best deck out there right now, but it is extremely prominent on almost any game mode. The problem is it just chokes out everything except the quickest aggro deck (Paladin being the only one that can outpace it). Tempo and midrange are just dead.
Anyone else feeling like this deck is really holding back a lot of others from being good? -

LeAdderNoir posted a message on New Neutral Legendary - Countess AshmorePosted in: Card DiscussionLove this card, hope I unpack one! Only slight issue is the lack of good cards with Lifesteal, but maybe there are more to be revealed in the new set?
As it is, biggest winners are probably Warlock (with Lesser Amethyst Spellstone) and Priest (with Obsidian Statue). The two classes that really don't need any help right now!

Igotthis posted a message on Who else rushed to buy the pre-order...Posted in: General DiscussionI decided to preorder God of War instead. Guess I'm tired of dumping $50-$100 every 3 months on packs just so I can play a little of everything as a casual player. I have 5k gold and 10k dust saved, that'll run out this expansion and I'll see what the future brings.
$50 entry fee, even if it is 70packs, after spending hundreds of dollars in the past is too much for me at this point.
Hopefully the new meta is fun, not really liking cubes tbh.

ayanakm posted a message on Who else rushed to buy the pre-order...Posted in: General DiscussionYea every single card revealed this far has been pretty lackluster or 'meh' at best
I feel absolutely no excitement for the new set, only a new meta that hopefully consists of a class that isn't Cabal

Lol Trump fires people in high profile positions all the time, and ppl can't believe Brode might have been fired (or about to be so he resigned)
There are also things such as power plays or maybe the company saw Brode as a threat since he was too much of the face of the game - contrary to other Blizzard games where you barely know the developer's name.
Also keep in mind in his letter he's going to start a new project that has a lot of uncertainty... if Brode was happy and Blizzard was happy, he wouldn't be risking it all for a "new adventure".

Only thing I don't like is cubelock is still a top tier deck. But so far I find the odd/even mechanics interesting.

And now suddenly regret it?
I feel I could just have saved the money, used dust to get the new warlock legendary and play cubelock.

It’s sad to see people defending cubelock. I mean, cheating out 9 mana taunts that generate 3 more taunts at turn 5/6 is apparently a normal OK thing.
I mean, think about it. If druid, a class known for ramping quick to get to big minions, has to essentially ONLY use ramp cards (that have little other effect) just to get to 9 mana (at turn 5/6), while creating basically no board (swarm doesn’t count), how is this “fair”?
Oh I know, druid in the past has had the ability to get big minions on turn 5 with Astral Communion but look at the drawback....discard your whooole hand. Where’s the drawback to cubelock?
So this is pretty much it, why play control warrior or druid (classic control decks) when warlock has it so much better? The extra healing was just icing on the cake...even though I do believe a control warlock needed healing of some sort.
Cubelock stifles the meta, or any other mana cheating deck with little to no drawback that can cheat minions consistently. And before you say, oh you can counter with a certain priest or rogue deck etc, there are 1,000 other decks that can’t and will lose always.

I just hope I don’t get Duskfallen Aviana as one of my legendaries, especially if it’s on pity timer.

oh hello don't you wish I was standard again?

The second druid leak just came out!

1. Make a deck with only 1 beast and 3 attack card. Put in Hadronox and Master Oakheart and good non-beast taunt minions.
2. Survive until playing either of the 2 cards above.
3. After Hadronox dies, and taunt minions die, play Witching Hour with Spiritsinger Umbra for board filled with taunts. You can still get the effect again after Hadronox dies.
4. If you have another Witching Hour, get another chance at filling board.
5. That's basically 4 chances to fill board with taunts! Win bigly!
PS: The drawback is Witching Hour will be a dead card most of the game, moreso if you run 2 copies. You also have to forsake swarm and death knight, but druid has other decent survival tools.
