Quote from rudeteenager >>IDEA - For something like 350 gold you can buy a card pack that is Epic or better guaranteed.
I have so much gold now, and I hardly have anywhere close to a complete collection. However I stopped buying packs because the value of a normal pack is so abysmal. The cost to craft cards is so high (I've been playing maybe 8 months. Maybe more now and I finally have enough dust to craft a single legendary. Then it will all be gone again. This says nothing about the high cost of just crafting an epic card.) So let's let people use their gold to get a better pack. Other f2p games do this tiered pack structure. I need so many epic cards, but the chances of getting them in normal packs seems almost as hard as getting a legendary so it's become a 'why waste the gold' thing. And 40 dust for a 100 gold pack seems like another big waste.
Plus, with such a huge amount of the player base already having nearly complete collections, what would it hurt to give newer players the chance to catch up faster than grinding it out for over a year?

Aeris posted a message on Epic Guaranteed packsPosted in: General DiscussionIt is stupid not to buy packs with gold, just because the value is so small compared to a arena run.People tend to ignore the fact that stockpiling huge amounts of gold basically has no value at all (unless there is an adventure upcoming you wanna buy or you save for a good start in a new expansion). All you can do with gold is buying arena entries and packs. So if you constantly do arena with ~100 gold in the rewards, together with daily quests arena is basically free for you - if you're better, your gold becomes more. But as arena takes time, you don't get anything from having gold - arena is essentially free, and therefore all you can do with your gold is: buying packs.I always keep a comfortable buffer of 500-800 gold in case of a bad arena streak - which happens - to make sure I always have gold for another arena entry. Other than that, I keep buying packs, as having gold is useless otherwise. -

Horkinger posted a message on New Warlock Legendary - Cho'GallPosted in: Card DiscussionThat's quite disappointing and that's funny to see you being that enthusiastic about it.
It's obviously better than Flopboom, but it's still meh.
I mean, practically, what do you want to play on Cho'gall's turn? What spells does Warlock play?
If it's an AoE like Hellfire, you will lose 7 hp and only have a 7/4 in the end. If it's aDarkbomb… oh wait no Darkbomb for Standard… ok… if it's Twisting Nether, it's paying 8 hp and 7 mana for a 8 mana cost card.
The card is only good withBane of Doom and Siphon Soul."Fun" facts:
If you play it withDemonwrath, it will just be a Baron Geddon that takes 3 hp and 2 cards.
If you play it with Darkbomb, it will be a worse Fire Elemental that takes 2 hp and 2 cards.
If you play it without spells in hand, it will be a War Golem.
Once again, this card proves that a majority of people have no clue about how to evaluate cards in this game.
Poll: 10% find that the card is "meta-defining" and 40% that it's "very good".
Please someone has to tell me that 50% of the answers are troll.I can understand your doubt about this card and what you say seems generally reasonable. But I still think you do not see some of the potential. For example, Chogall and Darkbomb (or in Standard Shadow Bolt ) might be a worse Fire Elemental , but Warlock doesn't have Fire Elemental. So maybe a worse Fire elemental is not so bad after all. And Card disadvantage is also no big issue for warlock. Or your example with Hellfire: Although a 7/4 doesn't seem too good, it might be good enough if it's the only minion on board after the Hellfire. And I can also see more use than only Bane of DOom and Siphon Soul. Shadowflame for example seems to be a pretty good board clear that gets rid of almost everything. In wild you could combine it with imp-losion for a pretty good tempo play. And it's still possible that also WotoG has a useful spell. Cho'Gall seems like a card that can give you a lot of tempo on turn 7. And as of now, Tempo is often important in Hearthstone. -

People said the same nonsense when they gave out the candy cane back for the first winter veil. now, only the cool kids have it and all the losers can't get it.

Atlas1428 posted a message on Final Boomsday Card Reveal Stream - Live Updates!Posted in: NewsThe thing about Day9 is he behaves as if the audience are kiddos.
I miss Kibler's authenticity: good vibes, treats the audience as smart and mature, and just laughs a lot coz he's really having fun. It just goes to show how much he truly loves his craft.
There's clearly a lack of "I've been obsessed and excited about what I made, and I can't wait to share it with everyone!" from the streamers this time.

fanteezy posted a message on Dr. MorriganPosted in: Dr. MorriganI'm positive he didn't but I'm curious as to how that would work.
Would it swap once and that's that? Would it swap once and then swap back? Would it pull two minions? Hotel? Trivago.

Archomental posted a message on New Neutral Minion - Seaforium BomberPosted in: Card DiscussionI'm gonna call it now, this is going to find a nice, cozy place in Rogue. It works well with Shadowstep and Shadowdancer, same as our Spider-friend.
Much, much more than Playable.

I don't think this card is meant for a quest priest deck, but rather a tempo/lyra centric deck that can reliably buff minions and keep board. Might not be good in the current meta but this effect is very strong in the right circumstances.

Sorry if this is dumb, haven't opened Shudderwock yet but could you in theory play 2x Hagatha only and kill it? I feel like there's certainly a way the minion itself can die but iirc the battlecries continue to activate. Genuinely curious though, can't test myself :)

For real, this deck is a sleeper hit. I'm at something to the tune of ~20 wins in a row now. Heals out of range of priest combos, contests other minion flood decks, just a solid OP brawl deck.

I've played Curious Glimmerroot on two separate occasions this brawl and the battlecry didn't activate both times. Any insight into why that would happen?

Been using Rogue because I have a quest for 5 wins with it today. Trying Preparation + Sprint has had almost guaranteed instant concede. Bonus points if I'm going second for Prep + Coin + concede.

By the time I'm playing Deathwing, Dragonlord it's mainly for the body. I've been toying with just replacing it for Nefarian since the battlecry has much better value then replacing the board after DW dies. It's on my list of tweaks when I start to lose more games with it in my hand :)
