Haussenfuss posted a message on Nerfs - The dust refund policy must be changed as it's not fair anymorePosted in: General DiscussionHmmm . . .
There is clearly an element of caveat emptor which underlies all CCGs - everyone who plays them understands that any competitive card can be banned (in IRL games) or nerfed (in digital games) at any time, for reasons that you might angrily disagree with. Nevertheless, people accept this as an obvious necessity - every once in a while, cards have to be banned, or nerfed, for the health of the game.
In IRL games - it's simply "tough shit." Cards are banned, you spent real $$$ on them, and their value tanks. Wizards isn't going to refund your money. In online games - there are refunds for nerfed cards, as well as an in-game economy which constantly pays you in-game currency that off-sets the cost of nerfs, as well as every other cost. Nevertheless, it's an exit point for some players - but if you quit playing a CCG simply because cards get nerfed every once in a while, there honestly isn't much that Blizzard, Wizards, etc, could probably do to keep you around . . .

GameTheory345 posted a message on A little more complexity and no more powercreep please?Posted in: General DiscussionHearthstone is meant to be simple. There's a reason why nobody likes custom cards with more than 4 lines of text. If you want to play a more complex game, I would recommend MtG Arena or Eternal.

tbh the whole game has felt like that since Witchwood, and it looks like it's gonna get worse. The glory days of Hearthstone are over, especially with Artifact and Gwent 1.0 coming out this year. Hell, Elder Scrolls Legends is even picking up steam ever since they announced a Nintendo Switch port.
Yeah you keep praying for that bud. If you think Gwent or any other card game are ever going to reach the popularity of HS online you’re insane. You sound exactly like the whiners who said the glory days of WoW were over way back when TBC first came out. Every expansion was apparently the death of WoW yet it did fine until MoP. HS has years to go before it’s gonna be abandoned.

quartermonk posted a message on I can't find "The Tracker"Posted in: General DiscussionI'm not sure what the point of this thread is. You seem to know that The Tracker is the second rogue legendary, and you know that the full card reveal is coming on the 9th. So what is it you want to know exactly? Her name and address? We will know who she is when she is revealed just like every other hero.

Every Vagina Is Lovely.

Will try it asap, seems great.
Edit: Somehow i thought the revived Undatakah would keep enchantments, but thats not the case, which makes this combo kinda useless, because people can just ingore your Undatakah and kill you.

Good with everything that has lifesteal, a 3/4 Crystalsmith Kangor looks pretty spicy in my eyes :>

Of course you can. You use this with Elekk on board to shuffle your other copies of Elekk and Plot Twist into your deck. Rinse and repeat.

They did not remove any people from the dev team.

First, i haven't read through all 8 pages here, so excuse me if i repeat stuff.
I have watched quiet the amount of Artifact gameplay over the last days, because i thought about buying it. And i came to the conclusion that i won't. I'd check it out if it would be free to play, but i'm not willing to pay 20€ upfront to get a game i don't even enjoy watching.
It's terribly slow and following all that's happening in all three lanes is just tedious. The whole gameplay is insanely slow, matches take ages. The minion (or creep) combat is awful. I saw clips where people would have won a game on the spot, just to have both their high attack champions being blocked by one creep, because those dudes decided to attack in a weird way. I thought Artifact was supposed to have little to no rng elements and then the attacks of minions, a core of the game are nothing but rng.
Then the monetization. Having to pay for tickets is awful in my opinion. And the changes are weird too. Artifact has a market, where you are supposed to be able to buy 'cheap' cards. Am i wrong or is the ticket thing just ruining that completely? Why would you even sell your cards if scrapping them for tickets is the way to go ?
Artifact just has too many things that bother me to pay money upfront to try it out. Like i said, i'd try it out, like i basically try out every new TGC/CCG, but the whole thing just is a huge turnoff.

Seems really strong against Combo Decks. Haven't drawn your stuff until turn 8? Well, just concede.

But, Elven Minstrel basically draws exactly those minions.

Shortly after an expansion drops aggro decks are always at the op. They are waaay easier to build. Jam aggro stuff in, you're good to go. Control on the other hand has to find the perfect answers for said aggro stuff, the decks have to be more refined AND you need to know how to best use your ressources.
