posted a message on Amazing Victory vs. a ridiculous warrior deck in arena

Right, he was definitely playing aggressively. I think he just expected the game to be a landslide victory like his other games up to that point, to where he didn't really care to plan things out so much. Nothing is more apparent of that than when he swung into me with a 6/1 Gorehowl instead of keeping it around.

I faced this warrior for my ninth victory in this particular arena (went 9-2). His deck just rendered me speechless. It contains: Gruul, Grom Hellscream, Gorehowl, Arcanite Reaper, Upgrade as well as Cleave and Execute to assist him in clearing his board. Somehow I managed to pull off a victory, and I was fortunate to be streaming at the time so I'm able to show you guys the video of it. Enjoy lol

Xdega, you wanna test Fatigue? Here's what you do: Get ahold of a friend of yours who is also in beta, and both of you make a Rogue deck with 2xYouthful Brewmaster, 2xAncient Brewmaster, 2xShadowstep, 2xVanish, 2xKidnapper, 2xSap, 2xFaceless Manipulator, and our free Gelbin Mekkatorque. Fill the rest with draw power.

Here's the plan: Each of you drops Gelbin however many times necessary to get a Repair Bot. You then copy it twice with the Faceless Manipulators. You now have 3xRepair Bots on the field. Continue bouncing Gelbin, and assisting your friend in bouncing his Gelbin, to try to get as many Repair Bots out there as possible. All characters now heal for 9-18 damage at the end of each turn. BRING ON THE FATIGUE.

Ferrarista I wasn't referring to mental disabilities btw, I'm talking about some physical handicap like Muscular Dystrophy or maybe really bad Arthritis or Carpal Tunnel or something to that effect. Also, Starcraft was designed from the ground up to be a competitive e-sport, It's the national sport of South Korea for crying out loud, while Hearthstone is supposed to be a fun game that anyone can play. Nozdormu isn't critical to any deck, it's just this kind of niche card. I don't think many would moan if it was altered or banned, and that is one of the big reasons I think Blizzard will do something about it should this game get competitive: there's really no reason not to.

I think that when the game gets preened for e-sport competition, Nozdormu will be removed hands-down. It's really as simple as the fact that there will be players who have physical disabilities out there who will be severely disadvantaged with such a card. I mean, can you honestly pose a counter argument for that? Nozdormu will simply not be allowed or will be altered.

Additionally, the actual GUI of the Hearthstone client would disadvantage certain players based on how many tokens they need to spawn, or how many spells they need to cast. Go look at the animation for Fireball on one of the Fireside duels, it takes like 3 solid seconds. You can also check out the fireside duel where he was against a paladin who had Sword of Justice out. When that particular player played his Leeroy Jenkins, giving his paladin opponent two Whelps, the entire process of those Whelps spawning and the Sword of Justice buffing them and losing durability at the same time took another 3 seconds.

Bottom line, Nozdormu will not be in competitive play as-is for reasons that seem really obvious to me.

What's the deal with Injured Blademaster ? Why this is rare ?

Because certain cards benefit from having "injured" minions. For example, you can play Injured Blademaster for 3, and he effectively becomes a 3/3, but then you can buff him up immediately with Rampage since he's already damaged, making him a 6/6. Battle Rage also benefits from damaged minions. So he's a typical 3/3, but can benefit from some of the warrior cards. I'm sure there's other mechanics that work well with the Injured Blademaster as well.

With that said, I don't think it deserves to be a Rare.

posted a message on About Secret activation

To give an example of djdred's statement, if I have a Sunwalker on my side of the board who has been Silenced and is currently at 4/1 come my turn, I can set a Redemption down and then ram the Sunwalker into an opponent's minion. This will kill the Sunwalker, but it will instantly trigger the Redemption I just set on the board, returning my Sunwalker to the board with Taunt and Divine Shield again, but he will have only 1 Health as per the text on Redemption. Thus, there is no necessity to wait a turn before a Secret becomes "active" or anything of that sort.

I feel like we should wait for an entire content update patch before just patching in 2 cards. Both of those cards were pretty considerable buffs, and I have a feeling that they probably tweaked some of the other class' cards as well, but we just didn't see them for ourselves in the stream. I feel like if we just implement the two buffed cards that we witnessed then we're giving the Mage and Rogue an unfair advantage before any other potential changes are unveiled.

posted a message on We Mad, Bro. (A Warrior Enrage Deck)

Here's the changes I decided on, copied from my explanation on the Deck page:

    "- Swapped Tauren Warriorx2 and Mogu'shan Warden for Sen'jin Shieldmastax2 and a Sunwalker.
Reasoning: Just because Tauren Warrior has "Enrage" written in the card text, deosn't mean I need to use it in the deck; it's a very weak Taunt minion.
    - Swapped Nat Pagle and Slamx2 for a second Execute and Battle Ragex2.
Reasoning: Nat was in there purely for extra draw, and Slam was in there for some draw power as well as some direct-damage to induce Enrages. I've come to realize that I have more than enough direct damage to induce Enrage effects, and Nat Pagle never lasted long enough to be useful. Also, Nat Pagle is completely useless if drawn in the late game. Battle Rage should yield more draw, and the extra Execute is added in to aid in enemy Minion removal, which the deck was lacking.
    - Swapped a Cruel Taskmaster and a Brawl for Molten Giantx2.
Reasoning: Didn't need so many enrage-inducers, and furthermore only one Brawl should be necessary in any game. The ability to drop both Molten Giants in the late-game alongside a Warsong Commander is too strong to overlook.
    - Lastly the deck was severely lacking Silence, so I removed the relatively weak Amani Berserkers in favor of an Ironbeak Owl and a Spellbreaker. I chose two different Silence minions to even out the Mana curve."

Battle Rage will require further testing to determine its usefulness. Also, should I require more Silence or utility in the deck, the Questing Adventurers will be the next to go.
