I'm a big fan of AJAX, Ajax is my life after my family.
I have no words for this:
Ajax has received very bad news concerning Abdelhak Nouri’s condition. The Ajax player has suffered serious and permanent brain damage.
Nouri’s brain functions have been extensively examined in the intensive care unit of the Innsbruck hospital. The diagnosis which has emerged is that a large part of his brain is no longer functioning, and that the chance of recovery of these critical brain functions is very low. This is most likely the result of his brain having been deprived of oxygen for too long, after the midfielder collapsed during the Ajax – Werder Bremen friendly in Hippach. He has now been medically cleared for transportation. The expectation is that Nouri will be brought to a hospital in Amsterdam soon.
As previously announced, Ajax is also communicating on behalf of the Nouri family. They have said that they still have hope and have asked people to continue to pray.
True Ajacied
Nouri, born on April 2, 1997, in Amsterdam, attended Ajax’s entire youth academy. On September 21, 2016, the midfielder made his debut in the first team during the cup match against Willem II. He’s played a total of fifteen official games, and has scored one goal. The Amsterdam native played 45 times for the Ajax Reserves, and scored eleven goals for that team. Last season, the talented Ajax player received the Gouden Stier, which is the prize for the best Jupiler League player.
General Manager Edwin van der Sar: “This is the worst possible news. It’s terrible. We feel enormously for his parents, siblings and other relatives. Their suffering is impossible to describe. This has hit Ajax very hard as well, even though we were told to consider this scenario. The past days have been uncertain, and so many people, in different ways, have sympathized with his situation. This is greatly appreciated. I’ve seen that the entire club has been hit with this since Saturday. Abdelhak is such a great talent, but unfortunately, we’ll never see how far he would have reached if this hadn’t happened to him.”

Mage quest is TBD. I have more of an issue with the quest itself encouraging throwing around a bunch of random spells than the actual reward setting up a way to win the game. With something like freeze Mage, both players knew every card in the deck - the player knew what cycle they had, what damage they had, and how many freeze effects they had. The person playing against them as well. Playing with and against random spells and clown fiesta RNG is just crummy for both players;people hated one or two Babbling Books, yet they make a quest encouraging it.
Quest Rogue on the other hand, is all the retarded stat-spamming of Jades, the solitaire play Rogue has always been known for, along with some Pirates and high-variance burgle RNG. Like the perfect storm of awful. It's also aggro or tempo, because no true combo is that quick and easy to pull off.
Honestly, the only two things about Un'Goro that exist that I really don't like. They got Hunter correct, Priest seems to have some surprisingly playable builds, quest Warrior seems fine, "splashing" Elementals in different classes is cool, and Adapt has turned out nicely.

So what you actually mean is that decks DO require skill, since experience makes you better at it.
There are plenty of disciplines that require training to become skillful at them, that's kind of the point of trying to learn something. If a decision or action comes easy to you, wether naturally or through practice, while for others the same task is more difficult, guess what, that makes you skillful.
Instead of conceding maybe you could try to practice winning against early keleseths, it's actually possible if you get skilled at controlling yourself ;)
In any case, mirror matches generally require quite some skills many people don't seem to have. In the PW meta I had a 72% wr against other warriors after more than 80 matches against them. Was I just lucky or do even these decks require calculations, risk management and thinking a few turns ahead ... hmmm

The last two posts are sort of right, but not quite.
VS warrior (always pirate, never taunt) and when counter queuing against an aggro deck I mulligan the quest away. Indeed you will not finish it in time to benefit from it and losing one card is too costly. On the rare occasion I do face a taunt warrior I usually win, even if when I mulliganed the quest. There is plenty of value and you can go one on one when it comes to pressure.
However, only token decks are a real problem. They vomit too much crap on the board every turn for you to deal with. So token druid and murloc pally are problematic. Against all the others its OK'ish. My stats are at the bottom.
Quest priest is quite good against midrange decks and if you are a decent player and identify you are up against a control deck soon enough you have a really good chance. The quest reward does indeed matter in these matchups since you will gain control simultaneously with a full heal. Against control you usually go to fatigue which is why I cut all the card draw deathrattle minions eventually.
The reason I like this deck is because it is a thrill against aggro and it forces you to show skill against the rest. I sometimes face opponents that just keep drawing cards or over extend in control matchups, not smart. You also have limited resources and need to be patient. With the deck I use it is very hard to rush down any opponent, its almost always a value and survival game which is the type of game I like. I know that is not for everyone but the deck does work. I had like 65% winrate until rank 3. After that it became much harder and it is certainly not tier 1. But that is irrelevant. If you want the best deck its pirate warrior, if you want to have fun and stand a chance, this deck is fine.

2 seasons ago I made a quest priest deck in wild and piloted it from rank 10 to rank 1. played over 80 games after that and ended up at rank 2. Drove me crazy but honestly was one of the coolest deck I ever played and the only deck I ever made myself that actually worked. If you want to have fun you will definitely not regret it.
Wild does help with some sweet deathrattle minions and Reno and I never tried it in standard because I think it will be a lot worse there.
The biggest challenge for the deck is to balance between your matchups against aggro and control. If you drift to far to win against one you will lose the other for sure so another thing is you have to respond quickly to meta changes. For example, around rank 10-8 there is much more control than 7-5 because these decks are just not as good as aggro and will hence be played closer to the rank floors. Same thing happened around rank 5-3 compared to 3-1.
In any case pack enough AoE and taunt minions. The choices you have to make are picking cards like Unstable Ghoul or Tentacle of N'Zoth over Ysera or Ragnaros the Firelord. Obviously they will help vs one side and hurt vs the other.
Won't post a decklist, just have fun creating your own. 24 cards are pretty obvious anyway.
Cheers

I started HS two years ago. at that time there were plenty of players with fully stocked decks like control warrior and I absolutely loved them!!
Of course it feels unpleasant to lose when you feel you don't stand a chance to win but all I could think was: "I can't wait till I get my hands on some of those juicy legendaries". I remember my first from a pack (Ysera) and the first one I crafted (Dr. Boom) and I was excited to put them into action. I've been stacking my collection ever since using the tools at my disposal. At first it was mostly hunter and warlock that had cheap decks, now I can make every deck I want. Blizzard makes it very clear they will always make some highly competitive decks at low dust costs available so the game is not unfair for new players.
So no, the game is fine for new players imo. the only thing is they might give some more free content at a few extra milestones, like a legendary after 100 wins or something and now they have these heavy legendary expansions the daily quest gold might be a bit higher for all of us, but other than that its fine.

Oh yeah, Dreadsteed has respawned.
I've been playing wild for a while now and just posted a decklist of a dreadlock that gave me a 64% winrate over 80 games whilst beating secret pally and zoolocks, proof provided.
If you want to have some fun again, check it out.

Why would you make the face of your expansion such a terrible, boring and useless card???
Why would you make it in the first place? At least Purify gave us a reason for a public outcry

Facepalm
I bet this is that card you get 5+ times from the 50 pack booster. Gonna hold of on that pre-purchase for now

I think it is not useful to compare the power level of this expansion with GVG or Naxx. You have to consider the meta the cards can be played in.
GVG and Naxx pushed for more aggresive metas with a few excellent counter cards like Sludge Belcher. The "give cards in your hand +x/+x" would be useless in such metas and definitely not feel like high power level cards
However, it seems this expansion is really trying to force people to play a game where they have to infest in later turns. The "give cards in your hand +x/+x" and the discover mechanics all point toward midrange/control games that will be decided at a late stage, turn 8-12, where a lot of control decks have the opportunity to counter plays but midrange decks will have the opportunity to continuously apply pressure.
Maybe this is just wishful thinking. I certainly hope it will work out this way because these games generally feel like real battles.
