This thing is really terrible. And for all of these people saying a control deck would play it, why? Because it will turn into a value minion eventually? Why not just play a value minion in its slot? There's no case where this is better than just playing a minion that actually fits what your deck wants to do.
I'm actually thinking the opposite. I think the mage one is useful in that it lets you efficiently use up your mana to clear something. It's a solid tempo choice. Paladin's does seem kind of week, but if the paladin archetype slows down, I could see this being run well in a Reno deck, especially since the Brann+Healbot combo will be gone.
The Priest card is actually the one I think is least likely to see play, because of the RNG. I think I'd have to pull together numbers on what cards are worthwhile at each number to know, but it seems too easy at almost every number to get something that's not useful in your current situation.
Ultimately, I think it's a great mechanic that will always allow you to play on curve, and that most will see some play.
Hunters did die after UTH went to 3. Naxx brought them back with two cheap beasts. The reason they were capable of it was because they comboed so well with the rest of the Hunter kit, especially the Buzzard. The whole point of Hunters right now is that they can draw almost all of their deck, every game. Nerfing the buzzard like this is just going to straight up kill that entire playstyle, and in turn, Hunters as a viable class.
So I bought 15 pack today after work, and the results were ludicrous when compared to these expected values. Two Legends, and one Gold Legend in 15 packs. The best part of knowing these stats is how good it makes you feel to know you got really truly lucky.
Time. Lots of people log onto HS to get a quick couple of games in here and there. If I had to rebuild a deck each time I logged onto HS I, quite simply, would not play it.
If it wasn't clear I was trying to point out the flaw's in Blizzard's argument through exaggeration. The point is that obviously, no we don't need more deckslots. We've never needed them. We want them. They make the game more enjoyable. More deck slots means we want to play more, because we have all these decks we want to try out. I don't believe it's actually a complicated issue. I think it's more likely that they have a lot on their plate, and they'd rather try to convince the public not to care as much than tell them, "We'll get to it later." Yong Woo mentioned they were working on three major things right now. I'd bet they're the Android release, the Observation mode, and the next major expansion. The first two will probably be released relatively soon, and then their team will start in on some more tweaks we really want.
The info on Gold cards is new, but mostly I think this confirms that Blizzard wasn't lying about the stats on rarity drop. It is nice, however, to know that approximately three cards in every two packs won't be a common.
Let's ask ourselves, what is the minimum number of decks necessary? Do you really need more than one deck slot? You can always rebuild the decks you want to play. Frankly, do you really need a deckslot at all? Why don't you just build a deck every time you want to play Hearthstone?

In a few months, yeah. Standard doesn't rotate until the next expansion.

Looks like they've finally decided to push Beast Druid enough to make it see play. This card is very strong.

The Control Priest mirror matches are too short.

Disenchant all extras. Never disenchant gold. I count gold versions in the extras query.

It seems like there's a serious lack of redundancy for your main combo. How often do you have games where you just don't draw the pieces?

It's 1% of cards pulled, not packs opened.
